Well, I don't know about the other mods... but I really don't pay attention to your involvment in the site before I start to do any type of modding.. And before you say "Thats because you don't mod... lolzerzdse", I have explained everything I needed to the last time my admin status was questioned.. So I really don't feel a need to go over it again.. If you would really like a link to that forum page, then search my posts and look for it.. seeing how you would need to recap what I said, not me..

A few of the people listed aren't on all that much right now, so you should make sure they are all willing to increase their forum time for a position.

I have a few other concerns--about half of the people on the list only visit boards exclusively, and are rarely viewing or posting in others. You'll want to make sure they understand what is ok and not ok for each board, and that they'll be checking everything. Some of those people shouldn't be considered further, especially with some of the other names up there that would be much more suited for the job.

There's not much hurt in giving some a shot because as long as the person is not willing to take largescale advantage of their mod position, you can easily just de-mod them if things don't work out.

EDIT (forgot to say something): 6 of the 10 staff members either are not hired for forum work or are never online enough. And I agree, you should de-admin 87x, Cenright, and nestle. The staff only has 2 very active admins/mods, and 2 sort of active admins/mods...I'm only talking about forum work, of course.

Moogy might be a good mod over at your site, but when he is over here he hasn't done anything remotely good yet.

tnyhwk900 might do a good job, but i'm pretty sure he wont know how to use the powers the right way.

evilbutterfly would sound good as a mod, but i'm still iffy about what it might be like.

banditcom is ok. No real reason why he is bad for the job.

MrESqueek is the only real choice out of any of those I would want to really see be a mod. He doesn't type one sentence per post, he types paragraphs. And those aren't Joe Shmoe paragraphs, they are very good ones.

And as for Anticrombie0909, Privateer, Master_of_PARANOiA, Kenzya, Omeganitros, QreepyBORIS: giving mod/admin status to one of these people is not a smart idea. This isn't your site where you can mod anyone and bump their popularity and social status. I'm pretty sure this site wont do that.

Oh and pick someone that wont leave for 6 months and suddenly re-appear for 1 day then go back into their hole.

First of all, let me say that I'm honored you thought of me for this, and also impressed nobody has objected to the idea. I know we have had our differences of opinion in the past, and I respect you for rising above that. I'd also like to state, for the record, that I could understand where Arch is coming from, as he seems to get an unnecessary amount of resistance from both the staff and community. I don't know how valid I am to comment on that since I don't know what goes on behind closed doors, that's simply an observation.

As for what Privateer said about visiting boards- while my posts generally remain in Chit Chat/ CT/ FFR General/ Gen Video Games, I do check every forum, whether or not I post in there.

As for your list...while I don't disagree with any of the choices, there are a few that I might not pick if I was creating the list myself. I also wonder if we really need that many.

The chat shouldn't be removed, if only because of its popularity. I'm a semi-regular in there, and in all honesty, sometimes it can be fun. Granted, there's retards in there 9 out of 10 times, which is why all the forum mods also need to be given chat modding as well. They also need to be given a 1-day ban button (if such a thing exists), because more often than not the person will just keep coming back in and getting kicked. The constant kick animation is usually more disturbing than whatever the person was initially doing.

Getting more mods is a good idea but about the chat. I could see getting rid of it for bandwidth reasons but as long as it doesn't affect the rest of the site just have light or no modration. don't yell at me.
