We need more mods

I'm sorry but this site is just too stressful on me

most of the admins of this site are ONLY involved in ffr when I am involved in a ton of music game stuff

so it's hard for me to do everything and still do my job on here

first of all, fire cenright and 87x and nestle. they don't do anything for the game at all and are never on.

now hire these people -

I don't like some of them, and some of them might not be fit for the job right away, but the fact is any jackoff can be a mod. You just need an example to go by (anti and squeek are good ones) and your experience goes up as you go along. It's not hard, just very time consuming depending how much there are of you and how many people you have to deal with.

Second of all some of these people may not have the best "reputation" but whatever. Your attitude changes totally when you become a mod and none of them are going to be retarded and NOT act like a mod and lose it because why would they want to? all of them are qualified, we have just set too high of a standard. You just need decent common sense and be slightly active and that's it.

Oh and while I'm at it I suggest removing the chat.

1) It uses up too much bandwith

2) Anyone can get away with anything

3) The chat version sucks

4) Too stressful on mods

5) Too many rules are broken and girls flashing and stuff with no one to do anything about it

the chat is an unneeded burden to the site.

I also think there should be more mods, although I know you guys wouldn't want me because I haven't been here a whole lot. Though I do spend a whole lot of time on this site and in the chat.



I don't necessarily think you should remove the chat but maybe change it some. I am in there a whole lot and could probably moderate it if it was needed.

I guess that is my input on things.

On the mods: I think that's a great idea. I don't like the idea of a couple of them being mods, but overall, that'd be a great addition. No debate here.

As for the chat...
Regarding points 2 and 5, it's a chat room on a free site. You can't expect anything great from it. Including point number 4, if it really is very stressful on the mods (I don't see that, but then again, the mods don't talk to me about their job), why not just leave it unmoderated? It wouldn't be much better or worse.

Now, if Synth is worried about the indignities that girls flashing without punishment could bring to FFR, then forget that idea. That's a fine reason to get rid of the chat right there, right now, but if having a free chat room that's barely associated with the rest of the site doesn't bother the important people, either get many more mods or don't worry about it.

Point 3 is irrelevant. Nobody cares that much about the chat (bold statement, I know).

If getting rid of the chat would save much bandwidth and therefore save Synth much money, I think that's a fine reason to get rid of it as well. However, if it doesn't make too much of a difference, even I support its staying.

i vote for the people who don't make pointless post-whoring posts...i.e. moogy...yes, they could change, i'm sure he could change, just as i know arch changed for this site...but they also might not...or maybe they should just screw themselves out of a jod job for being immature in the first place, b/c it's not like there aren't HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of people who would be willing to give their time, and who also have never done things or said things and annoyed people like moogy has...sorry for singling out one person, he's just the one whose posts i'm the most familiar with

Extra stress? I'll be getting a sim mod spot at BMS when Keith sets it up so sim mods can delete sims, and I plan on applying for a Gfaqs mod position the next time signups roll around.

DDREI doesn't matter because I could stop posting there right now and I doubt anyone besides maybe Pyro would notice.

Megaman Crosswars isn't nearly active enough yet to be any sort of factor.

I appreciate the concern for my health, and in the end I'll support whatever you feel is best, but I'll still eagerly volunteer my services. Trust me on this, I spend more time on the internet than I do eating and taking classes combined.

EDIT: Hmm, I haven't seen whiz kid post here in a while.

Sigh. I think Moogy is really qualified for the job. He really pissed me off, but only up until he decided to stop being a dumbass. I honestly think that he's one of the most qualified people for a mod position now.

To get specific, the two people I'd rather not see as mods are tnyhwk900 and evilbutterfly.

Sorry to have left you so much to do Arch. I just got back from my trip yesterday. Besides I was only instituted as a mod, not an admin.

it doesn't matter of being qualified or not

it's just pretty much how active you are and how much common sense you have

period, and you don't need *that* much common sense to do it. they're all qualified, and a lot of them would do bad at first. but oh well, they'd get better, they have what it takes, I've just been a royal prick about things, but reality check the forums WOULDN'T go to hell if any one of them were made mods. Yeah they'd make mistakes all of the admins have made mistakes it's how you learn what to do and what not to do

I think having that many mods would be overkill. Not to mention that some of them aren't really suited to the job. Nor would that group get along well at all.

I say make Kilga, Moogy, and Privateer mods. They would all be able to do the job well, and they are all certainly on this site enough.

so why still do it?? like i said, there are hundreds of people who could do these jobs as well as anyone else...so if someone doesn't want to be here or have the job they have, or is going to gripe...then leave...that's what i think...i don't see why this was public in the first place...wouldn't it be up to you and the other admins, and mainly synth?
