Should I retire my Admin Position?

If you feel that you will put more energy than in the past towards administration, please, by all means stay. You did a great job of administrating in the past, and it would be nice to have you continue your position. However. If you do not think that you will be able to be active in the near future, then I dont REALLY see the point in you staying an admin. If you don't stay here, then there's not really any point, is there?

That being said, I hope that you do stay, and continue to be active. That would probably be good for the forums in the long run. But, I will reiterate, if you don't feel up to it, then you may as well retire.

Of course, you dont HAVE to listen to the public. Feel free to make your own decision here. I can't decide for you, and I don't think anyone esle can decide for you. Only yourself.

I don't think it matters if he keeps the admin status, even if he's not active. Just let him keep the admin powers just incase he may ever use them, and just not count him as one of the admins. Like if someone asked how many admins there were here, you wouldn't count him even if he still has the admin powers. I hope this made sense, but I'm unsure of any other way to describe it.

You guys aren't making any sense. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Synth wanted to, he could make there be 1000 admins. It's not like there is a limited amount of space on the staff. I see no problem with leaving the admin powers with someone who isn't active.

I agree with the last 2 comments by afrobean. Just because he's not here doesn't mean he can't be admin. He may not do his job often, but when he does he does it right. Let him have his admin powers just in case the need arises.

But if he would take it from this guy and give it to someone who would make a difference(perhaps help enforce a better level of intelligence that everyone seems to want around here), it would be better than leaving him there to do nothing.

well.. I have read everyones posts and they basically all say the same thing, stay if I am to become more active, or retire my admin powers if im going to continue to be away.. I have a couple of things to say actually on different subjects...

Yes, Synth can have as many admins as he wants, there aren't only a certain number of slots and to gain another one must drop... its not like that, What I was saying about retireing my powers was, me not deserving them anymore..

People Haven't really seen me post / use my admin powers a lot because of a couple reasons.. One, there has been nothing interesting for me to post about.. I try to check this site atleast once a day, and sift through the things one the first pages of chit chat, critical thinking, ffr general talk, and sometimes brag board... The other I don't check so regularly... I don't post because I don't feel a need too, I'm pretty sure nobody gives synth shit for not posting, but we all know he looks over the site, and we know this because he will post occationally when he feels like it... Another reason why I don't post is because of the lack of "good" threads to post in, I have no comment on "Women gets pissed at Adult Swim", or "Fun things to do with pixie sticks', or "Omeganitros' Site Of The Month"... Im not going to post just so people know my pressence(sp?), I will post when I feel the need too... Now about using my "powers", With the regularity of me checking the forums (once a day), and the regularity of say arch, ld, or chardish checking the forums (way more than once a day), what would make anybody think that I would be able to spot out anything new worth using my powers against that one of those three haven't already done something about.. I'm not going to sit online all day just to be the first person to notice a problem and deal with it the quickest just so everyone knows that "I" did it... I will use my "powers" when I see I need too, I will wait for that problem to find me, Not wait to find that problem. (if that needs explaining I will)...

I hope this might clear up some things that people were asking / worried about.. Im not to pleased with only the 60% - 40% "No, Stay" victory so far, but hey.. I have been away for some time..
