I would imagine that the bandwidth used by this board is completely negligible when compared to that used by FFR itself.
Perfect Example of Why We Should Have a Garbage Bin

I doubt you've ever been a mod for any type of phpbb forum... but anyway, you don't have to go and individually lock every topic... you can moderate several threads at a time.Originally posted by Izziplus it would take to much work locking them all because there all ganna be really stupid

NOOriginally posted by lightdarknessThings like "In before lock"...are getting out of hand, and we are gonna start to delete posts like that.
YOU LIE
:'(I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.Comment

If/when the garbage bin comes back they could just turn on auto-pruning. In fact, there really should be auto-pruning on all the boards, just with different times for each. Something like the Dead Zone or the Garbage Bin should kill off anything that is a day or two old, while the Chit-Chat and other boards should have a higher limit.
And seriously, why do you guys only lock topics? Whenever I've been a mod I just delete the shitty posts instead of locking and moving. That way they don't gain anything for their postcount and they realize that PWing it up is useless.
And what sense does it make, "There was too much garbage in the garbage bin." What is that!? It's supposed to have retarded stuff. Even if it didn't help anything, the garbage bin wasn't hurting anybody, and was a popular part of the forums. And who cares if it was adding to post count? Post count doesn't mean crap. I think that all the people worrying about postcount are friggin retarded. I don't really care how many thousands of posts you have, just as long as they are good posts.
What it comes down to is: seriously, what's the big friggin deal?So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.
Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =OComment

I'm with Evilbutterfly...
what difference does it make after you have like 250 posts? I don't find it to be a competitive game to see who wins the postcount war.Comment

Problem with deleting stupid posts:
A: People PM you "WHERE THE HELL DID MY TOPIC GO"
B: People IM you "WHERE THE HELL DID MY TOPIC GO"
C: People create a topic "WHERE THE HELL DID MY TOPC GO"
I know this, because we used to do this for a short time.
It is most likly that the garbage bin will not return.
