Perfect Example of Why We Should Have a Garbage Bin

I'm not pointing any fingers or whining "waaa i want to postwhoer!!". I'm mentioned this to a few people already, but I felt I needed to make a topic to show everyone.

    Let's be rational here.

Point 1: Glance down Chit Chat, how many locked topics do you see?
Point 2: If you're worried about postcount, make the Garbage Bin not count towards it.
Point 3: It's the best place to post stuff like this: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...wtopic&t=15868

It's not a disgrace to have a place for people to post dumb stuff, or inside jokes, or just generally awesome stuff that doesn't merit discussion.

Ideal World: Garbage Bin exists, people post there all they want, no postcount ++ while you post in there. VERY occasional postwhoring is still funny outside of the garbage bin (let's face it, some people know how to make PW'ing funny, and not annoying, and some people don't). Frequent PW'ing results in a 1 - 2 day ban.
Now you might be going "BAN OHENOES" but think about it. If you're going to take the chance on trying to be funny and break the rules, you might get away with it if others think it's funny. If not, you can't post for OMG 2 DAYS MAX.

Just some advice, and yes I know this should be in that other forum, but this is more for publicity than anything else. Consider it, what do you think?

Garbage bin had too much crap in it.

And my banana phone thread had a purpose, but if you havn't been going to ffr chat in the past few days, you wouldn't get it.

It seems many people are posting stupid stuff, just to get the garbage bin back, and that needs to stop.

Things like "In before lock" and PC+1 and RABBEL are getting out of hand, and we are gonna start to delete posts like that.

Good, that's what should be done, but all I'm saying is, what does it hurt to have an outlet for that kind of thing in a place where it's harmless?

What you could do is just delete the really stupid topics.

I vote for teh Garbage Bin.

Move it in, make it not count towards postcount. No worries.

Why make topics for EVERYONE TO READ if it only applies to a small group of people? You could have just put a link in the chat for the picture for those people.. since it only applies to them.

Unless the garbage bin is costing Synth mucho dinero I don't see why not. I had about 5 or so posts in the garbage bin but I would visit it every so often. It was entertaining enough to frequent.

You guys need to be a little more strict. Unwanted post whoring isn't just going to stop on it's own. Dish out some punches.

Well...I guess the main reason it's gone would be for bandwidth conservation, wouldn't it? Then again, we still have the game forum, with it's 300 page threads, so maybe not...

I say put in the garbage bin, don't make it count toward your post count, and make it so threads in the garbage bin don't come up on the recent threads portion of the main page.

                              If it's for bandwidth, delete posts that people havent replied to in seven days, that way people won't revive dead topics and save bandwidth. The garbage bin topics will be deleted 2 days without reply and won't increase your post count. Just a thought.. ^_^;;
Please point out any spelling or grammatical errors I may have missed in my post, thanks.
