I need some good advice...

Well, here's where the problem starts...

There's a girl...and we're the best of friends. We are very close and I've been hiding my feelings for her. It seems like she likes me too, but she got a boyfriend recently. So, I asked her if she would get with me. She replied, "I think it would be strange having my best friend as a boyfriend." So, of course I was heartbroken. But since that, we haven't really been the same. She doesn't notice me at the mall, she tries to avoid me, she doesn't answer my calls, so this question I ask you people at FFR:











What kind of a sammich do I make?

And sprinkle a little your partner in a relationship should be your best friend because if you aren't on the same level with your partner as you are with your best friend then why the hell is your partner your partner on just for some extra ZING!

OK seriously, I don't think I should be giving you advice because I'm in a similar situation except that I haven't confessed my feelings to her. That aside, I'd say if she doesn't feel the same as you, you should just move on.

Eh.. You can be her "best friend" (which seemed to be something she said to let you down easily at this point) until she becomes available.. or just screw her.. (not literally)

tell her that you wont pressure her anymore, and that you can just forget about the whole thing, when she gets dumped, she'll come to you, then you'll have your chance...

Then you talk to her and be her best friend and she'll complain to you about her bf, and you give her nice advice and slip in little compliments like "He sure is lucky to have somebody as great as you!" Nothing too serious, though, just friendly compliments. Keep this up until that asshole (and yes, he is an asshole. they're all assholes) dumps her and she'll be all said and you tell her how stupid the guy is for letting her go, because she's the greatest girl in the world and anybody with any sense would love her. She'll say you're sweet and you'll comfort her and she'll remember all the times you were awesome and she'll come around eventually.

Just remember, you gotta take it slow. Baby steps, man, baby steps.

Anyway, that is what I learned from Freaks and Geeks (the tv show). Girls (for the most part) are stupid throughout High School. Guys too. And when it comes to High School relationships, you better be prepared for an ass load of Made for TV drama-bull shit.

Your sandwich should contain at least Beef Jerky, and Tabasco Sauce, the rest you can come up with.

Saying that would make the situation awkword (sp?) no doubt. What I would do is make sure she can't ignore me. Just talk to her a lot more than often or things are definatly not going to get better.

All I can say is:

Smooooooooth.

First of all, why would you tell her that when she's got a boyfriend? Relationships never last long at our age, you should have just waited it out. Within 6 months she'll be single again, at the most. Secondly, you don't try to go out with close friends. It's not a good idea. Have you ever seen "When Harry Met Sally"? Rent it if you haven't, because it's a hilariously funny movie, but the guy in there does the exact same thing you do (well, similar).

What I would do is what EB suggested. Sit her down, get it out in the open. Otherwise you're going to have all this wierd tension in the air whenever you see her, you'll drift apart, and a year from now you won't remember each other's names.

Sorry can't help you about the girl thing... I did the same exact thing except that it turns out she likes me too and now we are going out. So, um, this was pretty pointless. I can help on the "sammich" as you call it: make a hame cheese and mustard "sammich". Good stuff.
