    Fascism Test

    MORE QUIZZIES!!!

[...] much of the meaning contained in the word 'fascism' has been lost in its constant and lazy employment as a general term of abuse. Though 'fascism' and 'fascist' have long been pejorative catchwords, employed by both right and left in their denouncement of anything they do not like, fascism is in fact no catch-all, but a definite political ideology, situated at a complex cross-roads between Socialism, Conservatism, and Liberalism. By adopting elements from each of these political philosophies as its own, while simultaneously denouncing others, fascism manages to strike out as a 'fourth way' of doing politics and a definite system of government.

Does your political outlook share any of fascism's doctrines? Let's find out.

The fascism test is like a baby version of the F-scale test. They should be done in conjunction, or at least the F-scale test after the Fascism test.

honestly lower than I expected it to be
I kinda knew what I was saying when I agreed with some things that I knew were going to raise the percentage, but I said what I thought anyways

its a slight problem with the test, I think

agree, but ones ability to answer honestly in the face of that is a good indicator of ones honesty and integrity. falsifying ones answers as a way to "improve" their results, for whatever reason that may be, doesn't do anything but hurt the person answering. They would only be lying to themselves and their peers. We will have no way of telling, though. I trust you're all good faith quiz takers, like sun fan

I always thought fascism was the idea that the group is more important than the individual.

Only in the sense that the group can and should be used as a cudgel as necessary.

The basic tenets of Fascism are the need for authoritarian dictatorship, the formation of highly regimented and hierarchical societies and economies with the goal of internal self-sufficiency through protectionism and interventionsim, and the expansion of state into Empire.

It's basically the idea that your culture and state and economy are all deeply intertwined, used to foster each other, and all under the total authoritarian control of a single dictator in whom all power is invested.

                      Fascism Test
You are 41% Fascist, which makes you a Fascist Fellow-Traveler.

In your case, it would appear that your political outlook shares more than a few of the core doctrines of fascism. Since fascism is really a mix of communism, socialism, conservatism, and liberalism, with a few innovations of its own thrown in, it is scarcely surprising that most people's political outlook will have quite a few similarities with the doctrines of fascism. Even after adjusting for these parameters, however, it would seem that the commonalities between your political outlook and fascism are not merely incidental, but arise from certain overall themes, concerns, and solutions which your personal outlook has in common with fascism. While you are most likely *not* a fascist, the overlap between your preferred society and that of fascism is simply too significant to be pure chance. In all likelihood, you are what one might call a 'Fascist Fellow Traveler': Someone who sees value in some of the immediate societal changes that fascism would bring about, but *not* someone who is an actual fascist. Your ultimate political goal lies elsewhere.

For another approach to testing for fascist beliefs, see the classical F Scale Test.
