I'm surprised that Love Hina hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet. If you dont mind the ecchi humor thing, I think you'll find it pretty funny.

It might be the fact that I saw it about a year ago now. Sure, it was hilarious, but honestly it fails in comparison to Maburaho. They are almost the same but in the same sense they are polar opposites. I'll be rewatching this one again and again.

Evangelion and RahXephon were amazing. I still need to see Serial Experiments: Lain.

Love Hina was okay, but I think it suffered from the same problem as Happy Lesson--when the story itself became more serious and mature, slapstick humor was still thrown in the mix.

Exactly what I was gonna say. I watched 3 episodes in a row, and I was so effing bored out of my skull, I couldn't take another episode.

I'm sure it's really sophisticated and has an intriguing story, but goshdarnit, nothing happens except alot of talk.

It wasnt action that was lacking, it was drama. Or something.

There was no suspense, no thrills, no chills, no excitement, no cliffhangers, no viewtifulness and no thoughtfulness.

I dunno. All I know is that this girl walked around a bunch and talked to alot of people. I might have been interested in listening more if they were talking about stuff that's happening or going to happen, but since nothing ever happens, I find it impossible to pay attention.





Actually, scratch everything I just said. I know why I didn't like it.

The soundtrack sucked. Was there even any kind of music playing during the show? Cuz I didn't notice any.

The characters were as dry as cardboard. The dialogue reminded me of when you talk for a really long time, and your mouth is so dry, yet you have foamy saliva at the back of your throat that wont go away because you cant swallow. I mean, I am all for good dialogue and a deep story line, but Lain seemed to lack both.

The thing that got me, was how did she get all that equipment? Internet? HA!

But yeah, I didnt really like the series. I saw about 7 or so episodes, does it get any better?
