HeY! DBZ flying is justified! They use their ki to lift themsleves and propel themsleves forward. The fireballs are merely balls (and beams) of pure concentrated ki.

For those that don't know, ki is sorta like spirit energy.

If you want a show with unreal flying, looka t the last episode of FLCL. Haruko and Naota both fly around, but they never explain how. Also, FLCL rules.

      -.-;;;

DBZ is the pinnacle of the worst animes ever. The plot was ALWAYS useless, the fights were ALWAYS dragged on way too long, and nothing ever really happened that you couldn't figure out for yourself a few episodes previous.

And nobody ever died! It was like "OH NOES KRILLAN!!!111 OH WAIT LOL WE HAEV TEH DRAGONBALS!"

Now, the pinnacle of awesome anime is Maburaho. Nobody has ever heard of it which makes it that much better.

The current-day number one anime is OBVIOUSLY Fullmetal Alchemist. If you've not downloaded any, good luck finding the batch torrent for 1-26 (Hint: suprnova.org). Hopefully someone is still seeding that.

Now I have to run through the list once again because yet another anime thread started.

All of these are 100% full. Meaning I have every episode / movie.

      Ai Yori Aoshi
      CardCaptor Sakura *Not Cardcaptors*
      Chobits
      Cowboy Bebop
      Fullmetal Alchemist
      Inuyasha
      Love Hina
      Maburaho
      Naruto
      Star Ocean EX
      Tokyo Mew Mew
      Trigun

I'm working on getting that anime that Kilga was always ranting about. But Digi Charat was licensed so it might be a long long while before I find it anywhere.

Also note that I do not have FLCL. This is because I saw it once and deleted it. It had basically no plot. It was all random. Too weird for me.

Another note is the fact that I used to have .hack//SIGN. After watching once I realized that .hack does not live up to its acclaim and should never receive any commendations ever again. If I wanted to watch a drama where people just stand around TALKING FOREVER I'd rent some crappy hollywood movie about some guy and some girl.

      .hack sucks. Maburaho rules.

PS - Links there for people who want to look up these animes. I'm not an affiliate for that site; it just provides the best information.

It's not that DBZ is crap, it's just not harcore anime. DBZ is to anime as cigarrettes are to drugs. Like, it's the little stuff that you can get into fast and it's not too serious. Other anime shows are WAY more involved, and if you weren't there from the beginning you'll have no idea what's happening. DBZ is for people who aren't quite ready for real anime yet. It's the between step for people looking into the genre.

It's kind of like the difference between Star Wars and other sci-fi movies. Star Wars appeals to the masses. No extremely complicated story or weird plot twists, plenty of action, and not as sci-fi as it could be. It's something everybody can watch and enjoy, and those who want more involved things can move on to the more advanced sci-fi things.

It's like drugs. You start out with cigarettes, but realize there's no point. Why lower your lifespan if you're not having fun doing it?? So you move on to pot, then realize it could be better, then go to coke, then heroine, then PCP and all sorts of crazy stuff. Only the people really into drugs will be hooked on the hardcore drugs, but a ton of mainstream people will smoke cigarettes. There has to be some in-between step.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

Q: How many Super Saiyans does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A: One, but it takes five episodes!

            LOL

And you didn't mention Outlaw Star, which had the one thing that pwns all other animes: Space Pirates.
Oh sure, if they were just normal pirates, the animes that have Ninjas would pwn the show. But these are not normal pirates. These are Space Pirates, that can bend their joints into any shape, can crawl on walls in a creepy way, and they have psychic powers.
Show me an anime with great characters, cool action, an interesting story, and has Double-Jointed Psychic Space Ninjas without being horrible.

            Yeah, that what I thought.

This is kind of off-topic but if someone says smoking isn't all that bad... I have to say something. Too many of my relatives have fallen to this shit.

Cigarettes are among the worst of drugs.

If you consider the fact that it is legal and (at least here in japan) a four years old can go up to a vending machine and buy some cigs, it is the WORST drug.

Cigarettes should be cast out of existance.

Crack does things to people, man. My sister's boyfriend was hanging out at our house the other day, and he was watching this movie-long special about crackheads. Man, I saw one of the milder cases when I watched for a minute. The people are crazy and...crazy.

And I still need a link to the Sailor Moon theme song...I'll post on the simfiles board.

Wow, this is insanely off topic.

                          DBZ=lower point of anime aspect.

                          Compaired to, COMPAIRED TO:

                          Cowboy Bebop=higher point

                          You get the difference

And dont make an argument about it, the first to do so will get yelled at by me.

EDIT: And I'm not saying Cowboy is the highest or the best. You can just get the difference.

Yeah, the point that I was making was that just about everything has different extremities.

DBZ, Star Wars, cigarettes = Widely available, appeals to the masses, common stuff, not extreme
Animes I don't know of (because I'm not into them), Sci-Fi I don't know of (because I don't watch Sci-Fi) = Hard to find, only liked if you're really into the genre, not heard of by most people, very extreme

And of course there are many levels in between

And for the record, compared doesn't have an I in it
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
