Regarding the negative ones, I just feel like there is some charm to them that makes the forum awards interesting every year.

It all depends on how people take it and people's intentions I suppose. If the purpose of the people's votes on those negative categories is to directly insult the person, then that's no good.

If we can keep particular negative categories where we all vote and laugh in good humor (including the person being voted for), then there is no need to remove those categories. For example, people hate my awful puns so I'd get a good laugh myself if I was voted for least funny poster.

For some, they take the wins of negative categories in stride because that's who they are and that is their identity. Sure, we may think someone is the least funny or least helpful or least whatever on this site. But as a community, we still (usually) love these people, with their flaws and quirks, nonetheless. We can go back and laugh together with (and not at) these people because winning a negative category in the forum based awards of some finger dancing flash-based rhythm game doesn't make them any less of a person.

Anyways, that's my two cents.
