i totally cracked out reading this post lmfao. i'm not really convinced and i don't think it comes down to being able to do your daily tasks when you're using drugs, rather keeping a mental integrity which is arguably imbalanced by the use of psychoactive substances. either way, different strokes for different folks.

you don't think this ties into "responsible drug use?"

I do, but at the same time the prolonged effect of drug usage is usually a modification in certain thought patterns, which i'm sure isn't something you can control rationally. I don't doubt you can live life and not be majorly affected at all while using responsibly (some drugs more than others), but at the same time the idea of subtle, gradual modifications drives me away immensely and i find it strange it's not acknowledged more.

This isn't a sound definition. The reason psychologists define 'abuse' as the way I mentioned to you earlier is because if you use something like "mental integrity" you're just redirecting the criteria to some vague state. People can score *higher* on IQ tests with adderall, so the very metric you'd use to measure mental integrity works against you. If even this doesn't work for you, then you'd just mean "mental integrity" to mean "default mental state", which would be inane as that doesn't allow for distinctions between use/abuse and renders the idea of 'abuse' meaningless as it would be interchangeable with 'use'.

The criteria may appear fuzzy to you because you're using fuzzy definitions to define them. But these things need to have measurability. Otherwise, you're just using words to mean whatever is convenient for you.

Adderall improves my smash bros game immensely, but the true PED for smash bros is the right dosage of certain opiates. The apathy towards other people's feelings makes you a cold blooded killer incapable of feeling sorry for continually punishing your opponents mistakes.

Anyway, in my experience, adderall is great for FFR, but cocaine is by far the best.
