I finished the tutorial levels just fine, but I fear if I start with the main game I'll get too distracted and completely ignore my homework.

Rubix, how often have you had to use image editing programs with this so far? Those are overwhelmingly my weakness.

Quite seldom, surprisingly. Most of the time I've only used them to make pictures brighter. There's one or two riddles where you might have to overlay things or move pieces around, but there's nothing requiring crazy Color Table maps or channel-manipulation or EXIF-data, etc.
