I've been (or more accurately my teacher's have been) furloughed back when I was in high school because of state budget issues. They were called "furlough fridays"; pretty much the majority of the weekends were 3 day weekends for about a 2 year time period.

It effected me on a emotionall evel.

This happened to me and also on a physical level due to kicking my computer after it was forced to shut down without my consent
