Las Vegas

Hey, Imma take a trip to Las Vegas this Wednesday for six days. I used to go quite often about ten years ago, so I know of some things to do (Merlin's sweetass Magic Motion Machine in the Excalibur), and some new things to sightsee.

My question to those in the know about the Las Vegas Area: Is there much for a nineteen year old to do there? If y'all know of any awesome arcades, I'm all up for those, but I really don't know of much. I'd rather not spend most of the trip in my condo for lack of entertainment, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Treasure Islands Arcade has been taken away.

Circus Circus's Adventuredome has a good arcade and a few rides. Gameworks is also very good. Located on the strip next to the MnM factory.

There are good places, I just dont know of them.

I have a question about las vegas, since i'll be going there too this summer. They don't have one of those minimum age policies at their arcades to they? OMG, because i'm only 13, and when I went to hong kong, you had to be 15 or older to get into good arcades. I snook in though, nobody noticed

I was at Las Vegas 2 years ago. New York New York casino is the place for you. They have an awesome arcade with a decent DDR scene. Unfortunately this was before I was into DDR.

Make sure you ride the Manhattan Express roller coaster, but ride it at night. It goes around the casino, and there's a wicked cool loop where you can see the Luxor from upside down. It's really cool seeing the beam shoot down instead of shooting up.

Also, Caesar's Palace is a nice place for general wandering. It's really huge. Also check out the Aladdin, there were some street performers in it when I was there.

If you want some great eats, go to Olives at the Bellagio. It's moderately priced and delicious. Get a table out on the patio and watch the fountain show as you dine.

I also recommend the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton, but that's just because I'm a Trekkie.

Ceaser's Has a nice, but small arcade. All you really need though is DDR (Max2 and 5th), and Dancemania. And there is a Borders or something near by.

Also, there is no minimum age because the arcade is where parents ditch their kids while they go bet away the child's college fund on Poker.

If you've got cash to spend, I'd highly recommend seeing the Blue Man Group live. It's one of those experiences you will remember for the rest of your life as being damn good fun.

As for good arcades, I'm told there is a good one that contains among other units Guilty Gear X2. I will have to double check the location on that for you, because I have yet to go there. My friends and former coworkers at GameStop told me about it, and I just never got around to going there. Hell, if you wanted, I could meet you down there while you're in town and kick your ass hardcore style at GGX2. I am masterful at that game.

I have no life, so as for fun thing to do that don't cost you an arm and a leg, I'm at a loss.

@ Laharl: I see you're into the fighting games, what with your av and the GGX2 business. A good fighting game scene is what I'm really looking for. I've never played GGX2, but I'm an avid Tekken fan (I own everyone around here in TTT) and play Marvel vs. Capcom 2 decently well. Oh, and my Roberto > all at Project Justice =).

Having DDR is cool, too, though... But Borders has machines? I thought they were a bookstore (I've never been to a borders).
