Blah. Looks like the arcade I was thinking of got closed down. The only good one left in town is GameWorks, a really big arcade place in the Strip (I'm not sure of the exact location, but meh! Ask someone downtown and they'll likely know). $20 for 2 hours of unlimited play, if memory serves me right. I haven't been in ages so I don't know what machines they got there. I assume they've probably got every DDR machine known to man, and hopefully a few good fighting games and Time Crisis 3.

    I <3 Time Crisis 3.

I heard someone earlier ask of a legal gambling age. I'm pretty sure it's 21 in the US. I may be wrong and it may be 18, but I doubt it.

You definitely want to see the Bellagio fountains at night, and have a wonderful lunch / dinner within the casino. Bellagio has about 1000 different things to eat, all delicious. Enjoy waiting an hour or two to get in.

I never saw any arcades when I was there, but then again, I was there for a whole two days. The security guard made me wait in the gift shop while my mom was at a slot machine. Don't worry, she knew moderation. Still, I was like 16 when I went. "I think I know a thing or two about rigged machines, sir" ...cough...

Edit - Oh, the question was about arcades, not casinos. Well, I'm sure there is no age restriction as it is still America... it just doesn't FEEL like it.

I went to Las Vegas not so long ago. Cool place, but it was too bad I was sick.

Gameworks sucks. It is way the hell too expensive. The only bemani/dancing game they have is DDREX, at $1.75 a game. I recommend going to the second floor of the adventuredome. Two(2) DDREX machines, DDR Disney Mix, DDR 5th Mix(i think it is 5th...whatever), Para Para Paradise, Beatmania 5th Mix (pretty sure. it isn't IIDX) and Dance Maniax (the one like PPP except only 4 sensors). That along with a nice selection of other games, will provide you with hours of fun. There is also a bootleg DDR on the first floor. Steer clear of it.

I'm going to Las Vegas for memorial day weekend and i'm hoping to get a bunch of time in on the PPP machine. Oh hell yes...PPP is the best. Don't hate.

          Legal gambling age is 21.

AND FOR THE RECORD, PROSTITUTION IS NOT LEGAL IN LAS VEGAS. There are parts of Nevada where it is, but not in Clark County. You'd have to go out to Nye or something, where there is quite literally nothing except for the Bunny Ranch.

$1000? LOL... sorry.. had to laugh at that.

It actually depends on act and by where you go. At Sherry's Ranch, you get a lineup of women. They introduce themselves, you pick one out, and sit in a room and talk with her. You tell her what you want, she checks you for STD's, you pay, and then you do what you told her (and not more). And careful, you only get one "go", if you know what I mean. It all depends on the women, but the minimum is $100. So if you ask for just one act, it'll probably be $100. The more acts you do, the prettier the woman, the uglier you are, etc. all determines the price.

I know this because on IGN I go to this board called the Sex, Health and Dating board (great community.. great entertainment) and a guy posted about his experience there a few days ago.

EDIT: Legal gambling = 18... trust me. There might be some places where you have to be 21 though (bars, certain strip clubs).

How glad am I that you heard it from someone else and not previous experience. Maybe consider putting that before the post.

Why all these comments anyway? That's not what Vegas is about. Vegas is about doing absolutely nothing during the day and spending all night in the middle of a 120 degree desert having legal fun. Plus, there's no humidity!

Someone said earlier that Treasure Island is no more. Is this true? I stayed there while I was visiting and very much liked the show they put on a few times a night. The pool was really sweet too.

Uhm, I live in the damn city. It's 21. If I went and put in some money at a slot machine and actually one, I couldn't claim whatever I won.

I'm not talking about at bars and strip clubs, either. I mean, at like the Suncoast Casino, where I go to see movies.

@ Laharl: I see you're into the fighting games, what with your av and the GGX2 business. A good fighting game scene is what I'm really looking for. I've never played GGX2, but I'm an avid Tekken fan (I own everyone around here in TTT) and play Marvel vs. Capcom 2 decently well. Oh, and my Roberto > all at Project Justice =).

Having DDR is cool, too, though... But Borders has machines? I thought they were a bookstore (I've never been to a borders).

I mentioned Borders (actually, it is a Virgin Megastore) so, if you get tired of DDR/run out of energy, you could chill in the Virgin Megastore, look at magazines, I think they have coffee and stuff.

And the legal Gambling age is 21. I know because I went on a school trip to Vegas and the kids, even though they were 18, were not a loud to gamble, even in their free time.
