Re: Get owned, Romney
Just another nail in the coffin of a terribly-run campaign by a candidate nobody likes. I have to admit, despite my negative opinion of Romney even this blew me away. But hey, at least he's admitted that he's the arrogant, disconnected plutocrat people portrayed him as, right?
I'm not a big Obama supporter, but Obama is going to win - it's been evident for some time, especially seeing as how Romney got no bounce following the RNC, which was supposed to be the saving grace that would put him above Obama. Oh, and Paul Ryan too. That didn't really pan out either - a polished turd is still a turd, and Mitt Romney has repeatedly proven that over and over...

Re: Get owned, Romney
It would have been the cherry on the top if they would have popped a good ol' board game. Something along Diplomacy or Risk maybe.
In all seriousness, even though I don't quite follow the US' elections, I'll have to say that this video (and the further responses from Romney) let us comprehend more how politicians are playing the "charm" game. I'd have to say though, that Romney really is not a skillful speaker and just doesn't want to talk specifics when in public but seems like an euphoric kid playing in an ball pit when speaking to people of his norm...
I feel we are receding in society, and that this whole capitalism/conservatism/elitism mentality that Romney is emanating reflects standards that will eventually expand social stratification and cast doubt on our present democracy.
I'm actually interested in seeing how members of the Republican Party will react and how they'll put up with all of this.Comment

Re: Get owned, Romney
Of course, just as Patashu though, it is that his comments didn't really surprise me.
Just another case of "Romney delivers".
PS: Did you REALLY think he stood a chance? Me and my fellow peers made fun of this clown in my AP GoPo class last year. This is just the nail in his coffin.
Although I do think Santorum is the better comedian that the GOP has to offer.Last edited by Coolboyrulez0; 09-18-2012, 05:21 AM.Comment

Re: Get owned, Romney
Unfortunately, he's right about the 47% that will vote for Obama no matter what. And conversely it's also true that he'll pretty much get 47% of the vote himself no matter how horrendously incompetent he is. Pretty much every US federal election starts off 40% - 40% no matter who is running on what platform, and then 20% of voters, the ones who actually give a shit, end up deciding the presidency.Comment

Would you attribute this mainly, the 40-40 split, to blind party affiliation?Unfortunately, he's right about the 47% that will vote for Obama no matter what. Re: Get owned, Romney
Wow, that audio just kept getting worse and worse..
lmfao, that 5 or 6... or 7% yeah no worries you are just running for president, no need to get specific.
*If this was just 2 people talking on the street I dont see the problem with it, non the less nothing surprising in any of this.Last edited by Nu0n; 09-18-2012, 07:22 AM.Used to have my signature on here until it was deletedComment

Re: Get owned, Romney
Sure. Romney could film himself for the next few months raping kittens and rolling around in lime Jell-O while tossing up the occasional SIEG HEIL, and supporters would STILL find some ass-backwards way of rationalizing it, and blame the controversy on liberal conspiracies or whatever. However, they aren't the main targets here -- the undecideds/malleable swing-voters are, and this is definitely going to be tough for Romney to spin and easy for the Obama campaign to leverage.Unfortunately, he's right about the 47% that will vote for Obama no matter what.
