At least 14 people were killed early Friday when at least one gunman opened fire at a midnight screening of the summer blockbuster "The Dark Knight Rises" near Denver, authorities and witnesses said.
Aurora police chief Dan Oates told reporters that 10 people died at the scene and four others died after being taken to local hospitals. At least 50 other people were injured, Oates said.

Hopefully they find the guy(s) that did this, if the suspect they grabbed isn't one of the shooters.

Witnesses told reporters that gunfire erupted during a shootout scene in the film.
Brenda Stuart, of 850 KOA radio, told Sky News that "a lot of people thought the gunshots were part of the movie."

Poor people got the best 3D experience they ever had :/

I've heard of too many shootings as of late, my city has had its own problems but shooting in a movie screening is especially heinous. We'll see what happens after this..

Boyfriend and I have evacuated safe and sound. The shooting began during a gunfight scene in the movie, and at first, we thought it was special effects when smoke rose up. When shots happened again and people began to run, we thought something was up. A guy ran in and shouted there was a gunman in the building, and the alarms to emergency evacuate started to go off.
I now know what tear gas feels like. I've never had to 'get down' with a police officer screaming at us. This is the most ****ed up night of my short life. I need an army of kitten photos stat.

I find these situations completely boring unless information about the killer's motive is revealed. Not happy people are dead but just... who ****ing cares if I'm not getting any real info to react to.
