My condolences to those that were lost today.

A movie theatre... OF ALL PLACES. I hope this guy gets brutally violated in his cell and his name smeared everywhere since he didn't dick out and kill himself to avoid it.

What's worse is that any relatives this sick dick might have had will now be tarnished along with the family name. Nice job asshole. Selfish prick.

So what if the guy didn't have a motive? What if he's just bat shit crazy? Saying that this doesn't have a feel of importance is absolute bullshit. Maybe you don't understand how severe this shooting is. It's the second biggest shooting since Columbine, and there's more people injured here. Or maybe you don't understand that 12 people died andbthey're not coming back. No respawning in 3, event mode isn't turned on. 12 people were literally killed for fun.

Giving me a list of injuries without explaining any of them is pointless. You're getting really upset that not everyone at FFR feels it's their job to mourn for every individual person they've never met who is killed. 12 affluent white people died? So? More than 50% of the world lives on less than two american dollars per day and tens of thousands of them die of starvation every week for flimsy political reasons, and that story isn't getting tireless coast-to-coast hype despite the dickrapingly massive relative magnitude of it.

If I was there, I'd be thinking "k getting the hell out of here asap," and then after that, yeah, I'd want to hear about a motive.

I read this article this morning, and this just makes me sad.

Here is a specific excerpt from this article:

One of his victims has been identified by her family as Jessica Ghawi, an aspiring sportscaster and hockey fan from Texas who was in the Eaton Centre during a visit to Toronto moments before a shooting there in June.

“Had I not gone outside, I would’ve been in the midst of gunfire,” Ghawi wrote on her blog just after the Eaton Centre shooting. “I wish I could shake this odd feeling. The feeling that may have potentially saved my life.”

In Aurora just after midnight, Ghawi sent tweets from inside the movie theatre as she waited for the film to start. She had moved from San Antonio to Denver about a year ago.

How terrible must it be to experience two fatal shootings in less than a month? Unfortunately, she didn't make it out of this one..

Completely ridiculous. Killing innocent people is not "hardcore". There is pretty much no way to justify this.

So yeah, in my opinion, this is a "smart" kid trying to be "the joker". He smoke grenaded the cinema and shot at them and had the exit doors in a line of fire as well, and booby-trapped his apartment in order to either kill more people (policemen) or to make sure all evidence within the room would be destroyed. Id guess a mix of the two. Pretty ****ing sick if you ask me, it wasn't even clever, it was just a senseless act of brutality to attempt to kill about one hundred innocent unarmed moviegoers.

My best guess for a motive is that this is his little way of being (in)famous. From the sounds of things, he had enough explosives rigged up in his apartment to make the shooting pale in comparison. It's odd though that a guy with no previous psychiatric issues or even criminal record suddenly goes over the top like this.
