    Massive Solar Flare

A massive solar flare that erupted March 6 is the strongest in five years and may trigger satellite and power grid disruptions, scientists say.

Hearing that they'll reach Earth from 1 AM - 7 AM EST 3-8-2012 (which seems like right now). Hope the disruptions are not severe.

Coronal mass ejections sound so epic. It's like the sun is just dropping massive loads all over the Earth.

Oh my, I'm right at the start of the affected time. Thankfully I'll be asleep for almost all of that time so it shouldn't matter too much, haha.

None of that here, lol. Someone up north, say Canada, New England or near the Great Lakes look up at the night sky and see if it's glowing like hell.

the first CME will reach Earth at about 1:25 AM EST on the morning of March 8 (plus or minus 7 hours).
