    Making a Minecraft Server?

    Tha Fuc. I can't do it. Java just seems to refuse to accept itself as "a command."

    Can someone show/tell me how the hell I can make a server? I've been looking around on how to do it for the past 3 days, but I just can't get a straight explanation.

    I use Windows Vista, by the way.

      Launch the minecraft server.exe

                  It just had to do with updating Java, was bugging me. But as for making the server, whenever I clicked on "..server.exe" it would say "failed to load+other stuffs".

                      So you have this and when you attempt to launch it, it gives you errors? What are the errors?

                              What the.. Now whenever I try to get into a MP server that's already made I get this: "Internal Exception: java.net.Socketexception: Software caused connection abort: recv failed."

                              Oh and uh, when I try to open it, it's not errors, it just doesn't want to open. It also always asks me if I want to use "program to open the file", which means nothing to me.
