Hey all, I've never asked the forums for any type of favor (that I'm aware of) and I'm hoping you guys can pull through for me here. I'm an avid TF2 player, and as some of you may know a replay feature has been implemented recently. You can upload videos through the game itself to Youtube, and if one of your videos gets 1,000 views you receive a hat in-game that you can not get any way else. So, if you could please just watch the video; it's nothing special, just let it play to the end so it counts as a view and hopefully I can get my hat.

Tl;dr, watch the video, I get a hat in TF2.

Surf is really fun once you get the hang of it. If you enjoyed it I might actually make a video with a longer surf map. I just wanted to get the hat from views, so I just made a random clip.

A score from what? Just normal TF2 play?

Also, if you have TF2 I could direct you to some surf servers if you wanted to try it. It's a really fun variant.

Also, surfing in FPS games is always interesting for the most part, especially in TF2's case since you can fancy up camera angles and really make those surfing videos look interesting. That being said, it was fun to watch; consider doing more if you want to do so, but for the video at hand 1,000 views shouldn't be too hard. Will probably take a while though.

I'm thinking it would take awhile, and I'm also thinking I should make a different, more entertaining video to attempt to get the views. The video I have here was just a test to see how long everything took. I shot this clip about the same day the replay system was added.

For a different video, I could try another surf one or find a prop hunt server that allows replays.

EDIT: The only problem is that not all servers allow replays, so it will be hard to find a good server to use to make a good clip.

It's just a short clip of a custom game variant called surf. Essentially, you use strafing and the direction of your mouse to slide along the triangular prism-like structures. It's one of my favorite variants in TF2, but it's also in CS.
