          Re: Challenge Rubix's Computer

Benchmarking is kind of useless because there are so many things you can do to inflate your score. If I run Physx, then I'm putting the stage-4 Collision Test on my GPU instead of my CPU, and it'll tear it apart and inflate my CPU score (for instance, my CPU, despite it being an i7 920 d0 stepping processor, would get detected as an i7 975 Extreme with a CPU score of over 50,000).

Alternatively, I could remove some RAM and dial up the clock to like 4.8 Ghz or more by hardstuffing my VCore at the expense of ensuring load temps near 80-90+C at 100%, and crank up the graphics overclock even harder (since 3dMark doesn't load at 100%, I could probably get away with high-700 core clock, high-1500 shader clock, 1200+ memory clock, maximum fan) and go for a suicide run benchmark and probably hit the 30-35k range if I wanted to blow out the system, lol.

But I figure 26k is pretty good score for something that I actually play at -- and considering that it's a single-card air-cooled rig.

Is it OK if I could get a quick run-through of your specs? Knowing is only half the battle...G.I. J----

Well, other than that Crysis and Arma II at OVER 60fps could be your best challenge, or just wait for Crysis II and see if it's even more advanced...

I heard starcraft takes a pretty beastly computer. Your computer must be able to process at 60 megahurtz.

i have challenge for your computer. rasterize a 50 mb vector in adobe illustrator, recording the time needed for the operation.

i'm total **** about computers and i cannot understand a word in this entire thread but working with heavy vectors on my 3.9 ghz imac is pretty difficult and loding times are rather high (not that i cannot multitask in the meanwhile, but still).
