This happens to me in Trackmania (racing game) way too many times, in fullspeed maps. More often than not, I'd gently bump a wall or something, and I'd (a) go flying, have to restart, etc, or (b) lose a significant amount of speed, and not make the next jump/loop/whatever because fullspeed maps just love to be painfully precise, and I'd end up not being able to get a time in before the match time ends. D:
Another one I remember is how in Tetris Grandmaster, making just one mistake in 20G/death mode tends to snowball, leading to a slow, painful death. >_>
