Heres one:

In Pokemon Diamond, I got to the Battle Tower Tycoon with Garchomp, Empoleon, and Charizard. I take out his first two pokemon no prob (Rhypherior and Dragonite). Then he sends out a Milotic. Puts Garchomp to sleep, but I got lucky and landed an EQ against it. ...I swear, the milotic had single digit HP when I used it. Anyways, it uses a Salac Berry (i think; it increases speed) and strokes my chomp, and I send out the charizard. It uses a hydro pump against it, and I'm thinking it can survive one...but it gets a critical.

~6HP away from getting 20BP, all lost...
Anyways, I'd figure I'd make this thread for all of us to vent on our horrible gaming experiences so...post your bs game stories here!

hmmmm that's pretty hardcore, well let me share mine from a few weeks ago.

i was playing ff8 (legit keep that in mind) and I'm at the mini-game fighting the ruby dragon as laguna. All goes well and out of nowhere the dragon keeps doing split second attacks just before I can beat it with one final swing, so I lose the minigame. But I win the mini-game after that debauchery, I hit the save point because I know I gotta fight the dragon for real right after that mini-game is over.

Now my team gets jewed, having kiros cast blizzara, laguna has a maxed count of blizzaga onto his weapon damage modifier, and ward is using my newest GF, alexander because it just pwns (and happens to be OP against the dragon because it's weak against holy magic). All is going smoothly, but out of nowhere it casts fira on itself and just eats laguna up for lunch and proceeds to kill alexander before it could cast again and well kiros.... let's just say the best was NOT saved for last.

In Oblivion I was trying to seal another oblivion gate and I walk into a room where this dremora guy is, of course I'm thinking "Well its just one guy and i have full health and my armor and weapons are in top shape" but no he whips me with this burden spell so I immediately drop my heavy stuff (like 50 weight) and right after I close the menu he hits me with his mace and I get staggered and every strike he makes after that i stagger some more, i get hit 5 or 6 times and I lose 1/4 of my health. But it gets better 2 other dremora guys pop up and they swing their maces at me and I stagger after almost every hit (getting hit 4-6 times in a couple of seconds) leaving me completely defenseless and i almost die. I had 10 out of like 500 health =.=

I saved myself with a staff I found (staff of hoarfrost I think) and kept using it while trying not get hit because I was out of healing stuff and my armor was broken and blocking didn't work too well

I was screaming and yelling all kinds of fun words mostly because it was real cheap and this only happened to me once.

Back when I was like... 15, I was playing 7th Saga. And it was too hard so I used Game Genie to start with 255 stats across the board. I get to the final castle and the normal enemies kill me before I can even get to the boss so I give up.

10 years later I play the game without cheating and get to the end only to beat it and find out it has the worst ending ever. Ever. Like, seriously, ever.

I haven't played Pokemon in a while. Did it get a sexy upgrade or something?

On topic now: I'm sure I'm not the only one, but on at least once I've spawned into an artillery strike in World at War. And I mean I spawn in and one of the last shells of the strike immediately hits me. As in, I watch the replay and can see myself spawn in front of the shell just before impact.

On topic now: I'm sure I'm not the only one, but on at least once I've spawned into an artillery strike in World at War. And I mean I spawn in and one of the last shells of the strike immediately hits me. As in, I watch the replay and can see myself spawn in front of the shell just before impact.

This has happened to me so many times, that I need not to compare it to something drastic.

In resident evil 4 on whatever the harder difficulty is called, I think it might be something like professional mode. On the part where you are fighting the guy from umbrella with the giant sword on his arm and theres a bomb timer i got to the door with 3 seconds left and it is still counting down while you click on the door and select the item to put in the door. I put it in and push A to go through and I explode. Had to fight he all over again.

LOL, you should play the Mercenaries mode, that's a whole other thread of BS.

I have something that no one can compare to. If anyone here has God of War, play it on God Mode, and once you get to the very end of the game, try to beat Ares. No? Not hard enough? Okay okay, I beat him too, definitely possible... can you beat the Kratos clones? **** NO YOU CAN'T YOU ****ING ****SUCKER, THAT PART IS 20 TIMES HARDER THAN ANY ****ING PART IN THE ENTIRE ****ING GAME, HIS WIFE IS A WHORE. WHY CAN'T SHE JUST RUN FROM THEM, HUH?!?! THE ****ING CHALLENGE OF THE GODS WASN'T EVEN THAT HARD!! If you don't agree with me, or don't think I'm being as rational as humanly possible about this, you're really gonna have to explain yourself. Whoever decided to make God Mode this difficult is gonna get owned in the ass, if it's the last thing I ever do, those people are going to suffer.

On pokemon: getting an elite 4 member's pokemon down to the very low red, only to have them use a full restore and ko my whole team.

On halo: shooting when you see the red dot and not getting a head shot. Unloading a full clip into someone's head before realizing it's lagging and none of your shots counted. Lag in general

Years ago when I was really into Gran Turismo 3-Aspec, I was actually determined enough to do the endurance races - winning the races was always worth it if you could actually sit through the torture.

Well, I'm running the endurance race on Tokyo Route 246 and I'm killing it. It's a 5 hour endurance race, and after the 5 hours was up, naturally I had placed 1st. I think 1st place prize was 500,000 credits and a new car (an Indy car at that). I was so stoked that I didn't have the mind to save immediately because I was relishing the moment until my mother walked in to my room oblivious of the cords stretching across the room and onto my bed. In true Godzilla fashion she walked right through them and ripped the PS2 off the shelf and all of the cords out of the wall. **** that **** I was fuming.

I seriously haven't played A-spec since then and now when I'm home at my parents house, I scream at my mom in warning every time she walks in the room and I'm playing a game. Can't have her ripping **** out of the wall ever again because I will die.

Oh, I have a great one, from Crash Bandicoot 3.

A while back, I was struggling to get the platinum relic on Tomb Wader because the level is filled with rising/falling water that is all determined by the location of a moving beetle at the start of it.

Ended up running through JUST after the beetle hits the right side (so most of the water areas I was catching ended up being timed as the water was rising). Anywho, I was on my way to the last path, which has a raised enemy. I did a death spin to try to get it out of the way and even though I hit on the top half, it didn't disappear like it was supposed to. Instead of doing the spin off of the enemy and getting back on a platform, I ended up drowning and losing that run.

I think if I would have gotten that enemy, I would have gotten a time of like 1:21.00, which is three seconds under the relic time.

I ended up getting it the next run, with a 1:23.78. CLOOOSE.

Funny one actually happened to me in Left 4 Dead in Dead Air's first act. You start off inside of a building, and then when you get outside, you have to cross a plank. The rest of my team went to go rush because we all planned on a speed run. The first thing we see is a smoker on the outside. I hit it with a single shotgun shell and then it jumped off of the building. Job is finished, right?

Wrong. When I got to the plank, I was standing near the edge wondering if I could see the smoker. I took one step too many and ended up hanging from the edge. No sooner than that, a hunter spawns and pounces me OFF of the edge. Since there's no one to shoot the hunter off of me, the pounce animation takes priority over the fall damage since it's happening through an attack. So I ended up falling off of the plank onto the floor that you can barely see--of course getting killed because no one is able to see or shoot the hunter off.

Yeah, that was pretty funny. xD
