I'm right excited about it. Looks amazing, new orleans streets, crossing a suspension bridge, new special infected. chainsaw is nice. L4d is possibly in my top ten of all time but I still suck at it (can't get very far into an expert campaign) but I'm working on it, as a zombie fanatic it was well worth the release price I payed.

It sucks that Francis and Zoey aren't in it because they're awesome characters

Yeah but now you get uncle Phil.

It sounds like they're changing the dynamic of the game a lot which is a good thing.

And making the difficulty change with how good you're doing is a great thing for vs. mode.

The daylight times I think will probably suck for hunters if the boomer fails but whatever.

I'll buy it when it's discounted, most likely. But then again it is being released near my b-day so maybe I'll buy it when it then because I really like the game. Probably played it near 100 hours.

There can't be any more than 1 tank at one time. And a normal horde which IS like 50 zombies, is easy to fend off if you actually know how to play FPS games :]

You're obviously forgetting about survival mode, where you can have as many as 3 tanks and hordes of zombies in excess of 100.

But you are correct as far as the main game is. There is a console command that you can change so that the horde size isn't really limited, since the A.I. director pretty much randomly generates a number based off of your 'stress level'. That number does get capped sometimes.

I hope L4D 2 renders their maps the same way--it's fun to go into no clip mode below the actual map, to spawn things on the 3D skybox...HUGE special infected, haha. xD

i didnt read all the posts but survival is a joke. the first l4d is too easy on campaign. so i say play multiplayer and hope you dont have a team of retards. thatd be the only time you would have fun playin the game..that or racing to the finish =D

on topic.. i really want to try l4d 2...though that pans looks a bit too strong.. but itd still be fun =)

The day Survival came out, I joined a random game (FIRST SURVIVAL GAME I'D EVER PLAYED.) online with 3 random people and got 9 minutes.

Something just occured to me, just because L4D2 is coming out, that doesn't mean they still wont support L4D 1. Valve loves their customers, they wouldn't do that. Maybe they'll do something like "if you have L4D, L4D 2 is free or 50% off".

Or maybe you just download an upgrade and it works.

I really hope valve does something about this. I'm contacting them

Valve is a business, they'd loose money if they did that. They value money over customers first.
