Should me and my friend start playing this? If so, should we download and play from the real client and server, or from the private client and server? Will we miss out on anything if we play one over the other?

Just use the private server for a general idea on a build, then use the real server. It's what I'm doing anyway.

Everyone else is gonna tell you don't bother with the real server though.

Acclaim is on the top 5 list of the worst companies that could have gotten the rights to dekaron, so you'll for sure just want to to straight to the private server.

The major difference between the real client and the pserver are the exp/gold/drop rates. Otherwise, they're pretty much the same. Pserver has 100x, 300x, 600x, 1000x and 1500x servers to choose from. The regular server is...obviously, 1x.

You're not missing out on much either way. Both are highly populated. However, you're basically missing out on half of the game if you play on the regular server because you're never going to be a high enough level to get there...XD

To tell you all the truth, you have Acclaim to THANK for the private server. If they hadn't "screwed up" so much, then there wouldn't be a need for one. SO YOU CAN KISS THEIR @$$ NEXT TIME!!!

So I can't get the new patch to work. Anyone else having this problem? It patches and then fails, telling me that all the dekaron files need to be present and the history.config (which is present).

Initially my antivirus said it was a virus, so I turned it off...and yeah, it just doesn't work now. =/
