Re: I need the cheapest Nintendo/DS Pokemon Pearl you can find
Way to figure in shipping there, Reaper.
With shipping it goes way over his limits. And that's just to ship it to one of you guys. Then he'd have to pay international shipping.
With free shipping, Amazon lists Pearl at $34. So, figure about $7 shipping anywhere else and it cannot cost any more than $27.
ps - amazon has DS Lites at $129, free shipping. So, I'd estimate $15 shipping on a DS? Nothing more than $115 will cut it.
Edit: And there are used original DSes for ~$100 with $4 shipping on Amazon.Last edited by Squeek; 05-3-2007, 06:54 PM.Comment

Squeek, yeah I forgot to add in shipping, but it doesn't go "way over", pretty much around his target.
The DS is £6 ($12) shipping and the game is only £8 to ship to UK, to ship to US it must be far less. So it's $138 + $12 = $150.
But still, only trying to help.Comment

Re: I need the cheapest Nintendo/DS Pokemon Pearl you can find
The reason I got a deal on my PS2 was because it came from eBay and came bundled with a whole bunch of stuff.
My suggestion is to get bundled stuff from eBay. Paying $10 (each) shipping for 5 items or paying $15 for one bundle of all five? Please.
Anyway, PS2 is like 6 1/2 years old now. DS is 2 1/2 at best. It's going to be expensive.
My suggestion is to try to find someone selling a DS bundle with games.Comment

DS Lite especially isn't even a year old. It's still insanely popular. Getting $10 off of the retail price is a very good deal for the system. Same thing for Pokemon Pearl because that's only a week or so old now.Comment

Kenzya is correct. Don't bother looking for super ultra deals, because you won't find any.

Re: I need the cheapest Nintendo/DS Pokemon Pearl you can find
Honestly I have a spare brand-new copy of Pearl that I need to get rid of, and if it were any other time I would probably cut some of the cost as a gift, but at this moment I am completely bankrupt (actually getting overdraft fees from the bank >< ) and so.. I can't exactly afford such a thing right now.
Good luck getting one, though. I love playing this game online.
If you happen to find a bundle with other games included, don't pass it up right away. There are a bunch of great ones to have like Mario Kart, Phoenix Wright and others.♪~

Do I need a wireless internet connection to connect to people with the DS? As in will I have to go somewhere with one? I mean isn't there an option of a link cable to play against your friends(who actually live next to you)?Comment

Re: I need the cheapest Nintendo/DS Pokemon Pearl you can find
Yeah, you can play over DS Wireless as well, which is basically like link cables on the old Game Boys only without the wires.♪~

Re: I need the cheapest Nintendo/DS Pokemon Pearl you can find
Well, yeah, but that's the same as having a wireless Internet connection. XD
It might be confusing since they're both called "wireless", but there is the close-range non-online one that Tosh was asking about, and then there is also the online wi-fi one that can connect to anywhere in the globe.
Upstairs in the Pokecenter has close-range DS Wireless activities, and downstairs has wi-fi activities (with friends you have registered). There are also some places you can go in certain towns to do other things, like online trading with strangers in Jubilife city and close-range Poffin making in Heartlife or whatever it was called.Last edited by jamuko; 05-4-2007, 11:24 PM.♪~
