Final Fantasy X2

yes i know.. this is a REALLY old game.
but nonetheless.

i've recently got a second hand version of X2 and was sorting through the manual thingy trying to find out what happened in FFX ... this is when i noticed the manual is in french.

I've heard fro mseveral friends that final fantasy (any game) is confusing if you dont know what happened before it... so.. does anybody know what happened in FFX ..?

How about you go out and rent FFX for like 5 bucks and beat it, then you will know what happened in it. I think its a waste if you are going to play X-2 without playing X because FFX was a lot better than its sequel.

This isn't true, every single FF game is different (apart from X and X-2). You could play VII then go and play I, then on to VIII then back to III if you wanted. It doesn't matter.

X-2 is the only game to be an FF sequel, and quite frankly it's one of the worst FF's there is out there.

In FFX - things happened, you fight and beat a big evil.

FFX-2 - you are 2 of the girls from FFX (and one new person) and are looking for the main male character from FFX. That's about all you need to know.

FFX-2 was terrible!! I haven't played it in over a year, hell I don't even think I still have it.
But all I remember is that there was a fake Yuna, and then we had to do missions.
And then I quit. FFX was one of my favorite games, and FFX-2 pooped all over it.

Because I'm one of those people that HAS TO BEAT EVERY GAME I OWN, no matter how terrible it is, I beat FFX-2. To be honest, though, don't even consider playing FFX-2 if you haven't played FFX. You'll be lost.

Buy Okami. It's so much better.

First of all dont Quintuple post...
Second of all, if this is your first final fantasy i recommend you stop yourself right now and find a better one to start with (*cough* like FFIX) because you are setting yourself up for a letdown and you are not going to want to play any others in the series.
Third of all, about 95% of the storyline in FFX is directly related to the massive creature known as Sin.
