Re: MapleStory
...no you're not. Just because you stop hacking doesn't mean you're suddenly legit.and I am legit
As for spending 80m for 1 more attack...I dunno. Find out the price for weapon you have and the price of any weapon better than it. If you'd spend less for 1 attack there, then go for that first. Also, see if you could get a 10 attack higher level warrior glove that has str/dex on it too. They tend to be cheaper (since everybody can use WGs, the prices go up since they're more universally useful) and the extra stats on them make them better than a 10 attack WG.
That really is the trouble with upgrading equipment. Buying slightly upgraded stuff is cheap and definitely worth it, but as you get higher and higher and have less and less to gain from a bigger purchase, those purchases get ridiculously expensive.
That said, I really hope sharks drop something nice. The drops for Cold Sharks on hiddenstreet make me very curious, cuz they apparently drop magicodars in MSEA. Nobody hunts them in GMS, though, so the drop list isn't nearly completed. Oh man, though, if I were to find a magicodar...all my money issues would be solved. >=DSo I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.
Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =OComment

Oh. So you do hack. You just don't hack anymore. You are still a hacker and unless you start over and do things "right", you will always be a hacker. Never legit.

Re: MapleStory
I started a pure INT Cleric that's in Bera. It's already level 7 now, so one more level, and I can start getting mage skills and all that kind of stuff. My warrior (and soon-to-be Fighter) will provide funding. Since my Cleric is gonna be Pure INT, it shouldn't need much funding. But I DO know that I'll have to eventually get the Sky Blue Umbrella, and go up from there. That comes to my next question.
What weapons do I need as a Pure INT Cleric? I know I'm starting off with the Wooden Wand right off the bat, but none-the-less, I'd like a good list to help me out.Comment

Re: MapleStory
Well... I'm a level 30 Pure INT Cleric and all I've got is a wooden wand.. not scrolled or anything. I'm saving up for a kick ass Maple Lama Staff.Comment
-
Re: MapleStory
Well then, you don't know too much about pure int magicians. ASky Blue Umbrella has less matk than a Wooden Wand (15 vs 23). Aside from a wooden wand, you don't really need to buy anything for your pure int aside from MP pots, maybe. As far as weapons go, you can get a yellow umbrella at level 40 if you have the money (and you DEFINITELY will as a pure int cleric) but getting a lama at 43 is of HUGE IMPORTANCE. You'll want a well-scrolled one (or an above-average clean one and scrolls to put on it) as that'll be a huge portion of where your power comes from. The difficulty here is that there are a limited number of lama staffs, so if you mess one up with bad scrolling you can't really just get another one with ease. But I DO know that I'll have to eventually get the Sky Blue Umbrella, and go up from there.
As for other equips, you really just get a Sauna Robe at level 30 (just do the quest, it's not too hard if I remember correctly), unless by some weird circumstances we get Jipang before you hit 30, in which case you'll definitely want a bathrobe (they are awesome and are in the client for some reason). For shoes, get whitebottoms at level 26 (+3 speed storebought shoes) which you will probably 100% for speed later on when you have money to waste. Work Gloves and a Stolen Fence work just fine (don't waste money on a panlid, unless you find a cheapass one that has +hp on it). For hats, just keep whatever you get from Maple Island until you're 25 and get a pig headband, which you will eventually scroll 100% for HP.
To recap, here is what you should get and how you should get it:
-Crappy hat from Maple Island
---Pig Headband at L25 from quest. Eventually 100% for HP.
-Wooden Wand from Ellinia Weapon Store (don't scroll it or anything)
---Yellow Umbrella if you have money to waste at L40
---MAPLE LAMA STAFF, preferably prescrolled and godly at L43
-Crappy clothes found from stuff before level 30
---Sauna Robe from quest at level 30
-Shoes don't matter before L26
---Whitebottoms at level 26 from Henesys Armor Store. Eventually 100% for speed.
-Wooden Fence from Lith Harbor store (unless it's in a quest on Maple Island now)
-Whatever earrings you have from a quest. Pick one you like and 100% them for magic attack if you have spare money and then don't get any others. Extra mdef doesn't matter, so get one for looks and 5 matk and keep it.
Getting anything else would be a waste of money. Just NPC (or sell to stupid people for more than NPC) anything you get from monsters/quests (you'll get plenty, trust me).So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

Re: MapleStory
Okay, thanks for the help, EB. Now I know what I need to do. I just need to be sure I follow the proper leveling methods. That comes to another question; should I immediately max Heal right after becoming a Cleric? Or should I follow a proper leveling method? Just asking.
EDIT: Here's a build I found.
Level 30: +1 Heal
31: +3 Heal
32: +3 Heal
33: +3 Heal
34: +1 Heal, +2 Teleport
35: +2 Heal, +1 Teleport
36: +3 Heal
37: +3 Heal
38: +3 Heal
39: +3 Heal
40: +3 Heal
41: +2 Heal [Maxed], +1 Holy Arrow
42: +3 Holy Arrow
43: +3 Holy Arrow
44: +3 Holy Arrow
45: +3 Holy Arrow
46: +2 Holy Arrow, Save 1 – Holy Arrow)
47: +3 Holy Arrow
48: +3 Holy Arrow
49: +3 Holy Arrow
50: +3 Holy Arrow
51: +2 Holy Arrow [Maxed], +1 Invincible
52: +3 Invincible
53: +1 Invincible, +2 Bless
54: +3 Bless
55: +3 Bless
56: +3 Bless
57: +3 Bless
58: +3 Bless
59: +3 Bless [Maxed]
60: +3 Invincible
61: +3 Invincible
62: +3 Invincible
63: +3 Invincible
64: +3 Invincible [Maxed]
65: +3 Teleport
66: +3 Teleport
67: +3 Teleport
68: +3 Teleport
69: +3 Teleport
70: +3 Teleport [Maxed]
Max Heal (30)
Max Holy Arrow (30)
Max Bless (20)
Max Invincible (20)
Max Teleport
1 MP Eater
I like the fact that I can start off with raising heal, but is it worth it? Is it also worth it to get maxed teleport (I won't have this maxed until level 70 if I follow the build)? And, as a Pure INT Cleric, shall I need HA?Last edited by IAAW; 11-7-2006, 06:31 AM.Comment

Re: MapleStory
Huh? Yes they can. Only would take like an hour and a half. Vac off the arms, Find out the price for weapon you have and the price of any weapon beboth the bodies, then get the third body to do nothing while you attack it. That's what MrHeroGuy told me he did. He's a sader.
o_O; wow that must be a pretty strong sader. My buster gives 10-12k each hit to it, and with booster Im sure me and the sader atk at the same speed. Also I had a lvl 101 sader that got banned and I dont think that even with combo saders can give as much/more than a DK.
It takes me 1 hour to kill painus, which only has 30mil exp. Zakum's 3rd body has 110mil exp >_> I think he had a CB to help him.
I got my zhelm by vaccing the arms off and getting to the 3rd body, but I had a CB friend with me. He was constantly dropping 5k bags with auto clicker, and it still took a good 30min.
I am selling my 103 atk OS and buying a 107 atk FF. My OS is selling for 35mil, and I think Im getting the FF for 155m. So thats 30mil for each extra attack. As for spending 80m for 1 more attack...I dunno. tter than it.
Anyways, I bought a 10 atk dark imperial (5str 2dex) for 98 mil yesterday. Now all I need is the FF and a 10 str cape.
Then Im spending $60 on NX and its all going to dropping my dex and changing it to str. My DKs going through an extreme makeover right now lololol

Re: MapleStory
Cheers mate.
Anyhoo, with this thanksgiving event, does anyone know if all letters are dropped by all monsters? Because if that's the case, I can just stick to coolies and train (and stop a few people from whining). I really want some maplepoints xP
Hunting for tobis will do this to you.

Re: MapleStory
Interesting event. =D
PS: I'm quitting my warrior so I can go full blown on my cleric. I haven't been outbid in this Sabretooth auction yet, so if I don't get outbid, I'll buy the Sabretooth, and re-sell it. It's above avg BTW. This means I'll probably get about 500k from selling both the above avg Niam and the above avg Sabretooth. Maybe more.
Also, I'm keeping my warrior's top. It's scrolled (remember my last post from which I somehow scrolled a top? That's the one I'm keeping). I plan on giving it to some lucky lvl 25 warrior. BTW, I'll have plenty of stuff transferred. But, speaking of the event, I will probably keep my warrior long enough to do the event, then I'll just plop everything onto my cleric.Comment
