If you don't want to try fraps, try camstudio. Heard it works pretty well. And it records in avi format.

Singapore is so academic oriented. The parents start taking their kids to pre-school since they're 4 so as not to let their kids lose out to other kids. But then some people are late bloomers. *Shrugs*

My grades suck. Parents blame it on MS. Usual routine. I play MS, they scream, if screaming doesn't work, they off the modem. Simple.

I am thoroughly pissed. Why? Because according to my little experiment I conducted, threaten does NOT lower by %.

So I'm training at star/lunar pixies for a quest. Lunar pixies do around 100 dmg ramming into me. With threaten (supposedly -12 PERCENT dmg at the current lvl), it goes down to about 75. With Power Guard (-16% dmg right now), it goes down to like 90. Either I'm missing something, or threaten really blows.

I won't quit my Page though.

It lowers their w.atk by %, not the whole thing (ie damage). Same with lowering their w.def. Your attack to them doesn't go up 20% at max, it just reduces their w.def by 20%, which is just a part of the damage formula.

Threaten is still great.

Ahhhhhhhh... I thought threaten/power guard worked the same way.

Level 45... completed 3rd step? of the bone helm quest. I am not getting 200 nependeath seeds. It took me long enough to get the 50 for that lvl 35 quest.
My skill build is kinda fcked up, I don't know if I made a critical mistake or not, all that matters really is that everything that needs to get mastered does get mastered. I plan on mastering PG first (pouring into threaten was a mistake I think >.<). Also, I don't think my DEX is a HUGE problem (I read on SW that some warriors get up to 80 DEX in the later lvls). There is always the possibility of a DEX glove, but there is no way in hell I could afford it right now. I think I'll pour into STR for awhile until I can get a decent DEX glove.

Oh, and Bahamut, I didn't think PG shows the decrease in damage. Compare the number that pops up with how much your HP actually changes. Some skills reduce or change damage but the same numbers pop up, I thought PG was one of them that doesn't change what damage appears.

Also, 100dmg to 75dmg is a 25% decrease. I don't see why you're complaining that it's doing apparently twice as much as you thought it should do (12%). o__O

Damn you keeto and your level 45 ish....
I dont have a chance to play today, I got to finish a paper so i can pass my class. im at 75% though so i might grind for a little bit tommowor but im going to a concert and i have drumline after school. As for the rest of my week though, I wont get much playing in due to school and homework.

Bandit made me relize something about ludi PQ's yesterday, they are a waste of time. To get into a pq it takes about 40~60 min for a party to finish. Even then you dont have a for sure spot in, you gotta click like theres no tomorrow to get in one. If you miss, you have to wait about an hour again until you get into one.
As of right now i get about 9.37% a PQ. At that rate i need to do about 10 PQ's just to level. That about 15~20 hours if im lucky and get into PQ's all the time.
Yesterday before I logged, I spent 30 minutes and got about 8.40% grinding at robos with 99 exp per kill. wow thats a lot better for then time I use spending at a PQ waiting room.
So as of right now, im done with ludi Pqs until lvl 50 so i can show off. =)

Gonzo: That's why you pq late. It's easy to get in, and if you're a fast party you can get in 3 times in little over an hour. However, this is hard to pull off.
I do agree with you. I've wasted loads of time waiting for pqs that could've been much better spent grinding.

Also, eb. I made the misconception of thinking PG and threaten both reduced damage received. Current lvl threaten= -12%. That amounts to very roughly around 11? dmg points for lunar pixies, which originally do about 100, so logically they should do around high 80's. It was going down to like 73. The decrease of dmg received with % for this reason wouldn't make sense. But apparently threaten doesn't decrease dmg received, only decreases enemies att, so I was focusing on a totally diff aspect. I feel stupid now.

Even thoguh if I Pq late, and I get in everytime, Thats about three hours for about 30%. If i were to gind at robos, i would get about 33% ~35% if im lucky. Even though the difference is small, i would rather grind at robos cuz;
1) More Mesos
2) better Chances of a good drop to NPC or FM

Or, you could train at lusters like there is no tomorrow. =) I've been leveling there since level 49 and still going strong (65 stil...). When you are bored, go down to hectors and zombies, but come back when your inventory is full and you can eq. For a good spawn, it is great to have 2-3 people (parties are also good at lusters) at Cloud Park 6. I haven't trained at all, instead, I've done pet park quite a few times with some friends. I'm getting lazy but whatever... I'm having fun right?
