The PS2 plays DVDs too, you know. And the loading times on the XBOX are far longer than the Gamecube's and PS2's. Also, the XBOX only has the most raw polygon power. The Gamecube easily beats it and the PS2 in textures any day. Also, what's with the lack of Gamecube discussion? It's easily the best console out right now. (GBA is the best platform out now, but it's not a console. :P) Yeah, so, let's have some discussion of the Gamecube, eh?

I think about it this way. X-Box live, twenty dollars a month (canadian). PS2 Online, free, with the exception of the few games that you pay minimal amounts for.(ie FF XI)
Plus. X-Box is the devil. Shoot Bill Gaites, he fuckin bought out Square and after XI all the new FF's are gonna be for X-Box.Comment

That huge controller has been a lifesaver to my hands a few times. You just have to learn how to use it. It isn't some weak n00b controller. Both controllers could be designed better though. You have to get the old style x-box controller. The new style one IS crap, yes.Comment

Moog, Gamecube has by far the POOREST coming lineup. They have nothing in the way of exclusive games. They have Viewtiful Joe, MGS: The Twin Snakes, Resident Evil...I mean seriously, just nothing. They're problem is that they try to be kid oriented, and steadfastly deny that they need adult games to make money, yet at the same time they're blatantly denying they're for kids by saying they have games like Resident Evil and MGS. They can't make up their mind, but they need to realize that the biggest gaming market (16-24 year olds) don't generally want to play Mario Sunshine and Super Monkey Ball when pitted against GTA.Comment

heres my speech i give to anyone at my school i hear arguing about which is better, xbox or ps2:
They both are great systems, now matter what one you get you not gonna be mad. IF your looking for graphics wise and speed, xbox. Dont give me any crap that ps2 is faster or has better graphics. It is 100% true that xbox has better graphics. Ps2 has a MUCH larger selection of games and has many different kinds of games. So if ur looking for tons of games ps2. It all depends what ur looking for. This topic will enver end anywhere because everyone likes different things. I own and xbox and i personally like it over ps2 a ton because i like the better graphics and i like the games xbox has out. My freind has a ps2 because he loves games like final fantasy. You also got to facter in the price of course. Xbox has some other pluses such as online (ps2 also has online), hdtv adapter, and a 10 gig hard drive. Ps2 is ALOT smaller though and same with the controllers. They both can play DVDs. So in the end its really what YOU want. Ask yourself what you are looking for. Everyone likes different things.....
