hey did u know that square enix said that ff7-2 is gonna be a mive NOT a game? they said its too easy of a sloution to make a game. but they said to challenge them theyre making a movie. just FYI.

You could have just edited your post.

And making a movie is actually a lot easier than making a game if you want to talk about user influence. When you play a game, you are doing just that: PLAYING. You're taking an active part in your characters' lives. You form opinions about them and develop favorites. You are totally in the middle of the action. It's active. It's energetic.

When you watch a movie, you're only watching. You sit there passively watching images flow by, never bringing yourself into the middle of it. It's also over in, at most, 3 hours. That's just not enough time to develop the opinions you have about characters that come up in a 40 hour game. Period.

In short, 'challenging themselves', is a transparant cop-out.

Among them, that it will be released along with a remake of FF7, or perhaps a VII-2.

No one really knows. Squarenix is tight-lipped on the subject.
