If any new consoles are over 200, screw them, i'll mooch off people who buy them. I'm sick of paying huge amounts of money for consoles that get 5-10 good games.

So you're saying you won't spend 50 extra dollars?
I'd pay up to 500 for a console. I might just wait until the price drops for the PS3 if I end up getting the other two.
If I was only getting one system though, 600 is a little much, but it would definitely be worth it.

The reason most people fail instead of succeed is that they trade what they want most for what they want at the moment.

I may get a Wii eventually if the games aren't all retarded. The whole "it's something even non-gamers will want to play" is appealing, cuz I could play games with my gf. =O
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
One thing I'd like to mention that was very important for Nintendo's "non-gamers will enjoy this" way of thinking.
In the keynote speech, the winner of the AOL first to play contest literally went on stage and not five seconds later, played the game for the first time. And won.
Whether or not the execs went easy on him is another story. He hit the ball, no problem. First try.
I watched the Nintendo Press Conference live on IGN. It streamed perfectly on the 500k connection. It was awesome, save for no "WOW!" factors. After a few seconds when it sunk in, the speaker on the controller made me go "that's pretty sweet actually...". Metroid made me go "omg". Red Steel was "meh", but then became "wow this looks like it could be good... O_o". Super Mario Galaxy did nothing for me, sadly.... Excite Truck looks like it would be a fun rental. Sports looks like it'd be a good thing to package with Wii. Zelda looks great, of course.
I would like to get the Xbox 360 sometime in the future... Probably over a year from now, basically only for the Too Human trilogy.
I am now really excited for the PC. Now that I'm getting a new computer within the next 2-3 weeks, I can get all the games I wanted for the PC over the past year or so to tide me over for the new wave of games such as UT2007 and Spore.
For sure I'm getting Wii and a 360. With the ps3 being that much, I will just wait for a year, unless I get really lucky.
I am REALLY hoping that you will be able to swing nintendo's controller like a golf club for Tiger Woods Golf. That would be sooo amazing. Also, just think you could be playing Madden, and actually throw your reciever the ball.
Nintendo makes me happy!
