Can't believe I'm the first to make an official thread for it.

Sony is done with their event at E3 and after about an hour of pitching games and meaningless crap, they get to something that actually matters:

The controller looks and feels like the other controllers, but it has movement detection. "The controller's got X-Y-Z, pitch, roll, yaw, lateral motion detection." So Microsoft is the only company without something like this.

It seems Sony took some ideas from Nintendo after they pulled the original controller design that went over incredibly poorly.

Also, the price of the PS3 was revealed:

20GB HDD: $500.
60GB HDD: $600.

Nintendo's event is tomorrow at 9:00AM PST. I'll be updating this thread with relevant information as it happens.

600 dollars?! ..well that settles it, im not getting a ps3 for years. You know it took me two years to get my parents to buy me a ps2 and that was even with the price cut down.

I hate these companies that charge so much for the systems.. I'll betcha if they dropped the price down some theyd actually get more money because more people would go out and buy it instead of waiting 1-2 years for the price to become manageable...

Ive been saving plenty of money from coin jars, leftover lunch money, gamestop store credit and crap from the school year and i have about 220 dollars or so saved up. I was going to save up to 400 and then buy a 360 and then the ps3 would come later, but i dont know if ill have either of those anymore. I just want to ****ing KILL THOSE BASTARDS at microsoft and sony!

Though I buy all my stuff myself. Who asks their mom for systems now anyways? I decided to never try at all when my mom rejected my little brother when he asked for a $99 gamecube w/ free game.

The announcement earlier tonight that the PS3 would come in two separate configurations easily caught the ear of PS3 fans eager for any news of Sony's system. However, upon closer analysis of the images for the systems itself, a rather curious system feature seemed to be missing from the 20 gig configuration.

Looking at the official press site of SCEA, we noticed that the PS3 with the 20 gigabyte hard drive seemed to lack HDMI support. This seems to be confirmed by an offical press release from SCEA, which indicates via comparison between the two systems. However, it also indicates that the 20 gigabyte system won't have Memory Stick, SD or Compact Flash reading capability or WiFi support. Even worse, it appears that rumble doesn't appear to be included with the new six axis sensing controller.

Could the 20 gig become a gamer shunned system? When Microsoft launched the Xbox 360, consumers hated the Core system that didn't come with a hard drive and other features, quickly dubbing it the "tard pack." Will the 20 gig suffer the same fate? We'll have more details as we get them from the show.
