Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition

I've been playing this all day today. I beat the Bloody Palace with Vergil and I'm working on Vergil Must Die mode right now. Vergil makes an insanely awesome addition to an already insanely awesome game. His game is lacking on the plot side, but it doesn't really matter. His character adds a whole new dimension to the game.

If you've played DMC3 before, pick this up. Don't worry, you don't have to beat the game again - all of your unlocks for Dante will carry over, along with difficulty modes. You only need to unlock Vergil's costumes, Super, and Super Corrupted forms.

If you haven't played DMC3 before, pick this up. It's the best action game available on the PS2, by far. It's also the only game that can even come close to rivaling Ninja Gaiden/NGB in either difficulty (DMD and VMD modes are insane) or depth of gameplay.

So yeah. Get it. You must.

      I'm considering buying a PS2 purely for DMC3.

Too many good games on this thing.

Looks like I'll get one after they drop in price from the PS3 release, along with Katamari Damacy, Kingdom Hearts, Frequency, and as many other games that I enjoyed.

        I'm looking forward to it.

PS - Capcom released a special edition of a game rofl what are the odds of that happening.

I've been hunting for this since it's release. For some odd reason it isn't in stock anywhere within 20 miles.

I heard you can buy games online the internet.

And wow, what's wrong with you guys that don't have PS2s? Like 70% of American households have a PS2; get with the program. Squeek, they're already really cheap... http://video-games.search.ebay.com/p...0QQsacatZ62054

But seriously. How does anybody that posts on a site about video games not have a PS2?

I'll get it eventually. I'm still working on DMD for now.

Haven't I stated how I think Sony is a satanic cult enough to answer this question?

I've had DMC3 sitting on my desk for about four months now. Then I started playing NGB and got sidetracked.

Maybe I should start playing DMC3 one of these days.

                    Yes, Kefit, you should.

Oh, and the Special Edition is considered the Greatest Hits version of DMC3, so it's only thirty bucks, if anyone was concerned about pricing.

Why is it that every person on eBay with a PS2 + Games had crappy games.

                      Le sigh.

But thanks for that anyway. I'll try to snag just the console from someone (there's a DRE console for $25 including shipping. Hot. I've fixed like 10 of these suckas) and get the games elsewhere.

                      ~Squeek

PS - Moogy, the reason I didn't have a PS2 is because of all the things I see when I look at the list on eBay -- "Fix your PS2!" "How-to-repair manuals!" and so on. Sony makes shoddy products.

The PS2 is a joke hardware-wise, but it definitely has the biggest and best library of games this generation.

Come on, that's like saying you won't buy a PC because it could get a virus.

You can avoid viruses 99.9999% of the time, just some people are too damn stupid when it comes to computers.

A lot of that library for the PS2 consists of generic RPG's. Take that out, and that "definately" fades away into a "probably".

Oh, but DMC3 looks sexy. Makes the PS2 worth buying.

Along the way, there have been many many games I've played at friends' houses or in other situations that I cannot wait to own, so saying that I won't appreciate the library doesn't really apply to me carbo.

RPGs are great, but that's not all that the PS2 is good for. I expect my PS2 library to be at least half of my Gamecube library (40).

I'll look into getting one after people get PS3s and sell their PS2s even cheaper.

Oh, there are some nice games on the PS2, I'm just a huge Nintendo fanboy. I'm not really well knowing of what goes on with the PS2 and Xbox, so I rely on stereotypes
