    RE: CS: S or CS1.6

Scoure is better. Why? Because it's harder. I'd rather own a hard game then an easy one. Head shots in 1.6 is like pie, source forces you to be more acurate and make desions faster. Even though there are alot of hackers in CS:S, 1.6 is even worse. Hacking is almost a regualr factor is 1.6... But I don't care beacuse I own hackers left and right... CS:S is a much better looking game aswell.

Please don't tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about. Because I have played 1.6 many a times, and prefer source. I do accept the fact that most people do dissagree with me though...

P.S: The votes are tied at 50/50.

LOL you have played 1.6 many times. I played 1.6 for 5 years. Since freshman year of high school, and I finally retired last year as a freshman in college. I started 3 seasons in cal-m, won 3 LAN tournaments, and placed in countless others. I know CS. They actually made the Source gameplay EASIER and graphics better to appeal to a younger crowd. An 11 year old kid plays for the first time, gets a few easy headshot because Source is BS, and buys the game because he likes it. COMPLETELY different from 1.6 where he wouldn't stand a chance against a decent player. It's all about money Ignite, they wouldn't make a newer game tougher, it just doesn't make sense. 1.6 is better, I've been playing since the betas. I have experienced just about every version of Counter-Strike and I know that Source is complete buillshit. In my opinion 1.3 was the best because of the bunnyhopping, but that's just my thoughts.

1.3 was indeed awesome. I've also been playing the game for around 5 years and it's obvious Ignite has no idea what he's talking about.

I HAVE played CS back in the old days where supposedly it was the best and well at that time I wasn't interested in FPS games that much but Source is definetly better than that 1.6 shit.

                  Put it this way.

                  Counter-Strike is lame.

                  Stop playing it.

Why would I join a "clan" or a "league" of fellow people who spend their time doing the same thing over and over and over again day in and day out for no gain?

I play CS like once and I'm sick of it. I play Unreal Tournament 100 times and I'm begging for more.

I can't believe people spend years on one game. Move on. Sheesh.

How long have you been playing FFR? Counter-Strike IS different every time, FFR is the same thing over and over.

This logic is extremely typical among novice players that are quick to judge Counter-Strike's gameplay.

Hey it's cool if you think the Counter-Strike experience is a bunch of people in a public server with the tag ..--==SUPERSAIYANS==--.. on ka_legoland constantly typing "/top15" . Not my loss, and less competition for me

It's fine when you don't play CS, but it's not when you belittle its gameplay because you played de_dust in a public server.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: CS: S or CS1.6

I played FFR for like 3 months.

I played Stepmania for like 3 months.

It gets old. Just like CS.

About 95% of the regulars on this site don't even play FFR anymore. I guarantee it. While we all came here for that, our reason to stay is far from that.

Source was supposed to re-intrigue people who lost interest in the old redundant times of CS and get more people playing. It worked. I even played it. But then I realized it was the same thing again. Join a side, kill anyone you can kill.

I'd rather play games that might turn out differently from "X killed X with X" every minute. The game requires close to no skill and I cannot believe people consider it something tournament-worthy.

Companies release new versions of games for a reason. It's because normal people are tired of the same old thing over and over again and want to move on... Do more challenging things, play in a more captive environment, etc. Things that aren't "omg guyz we play de_dust 2 today and 4ever rite?"

                            ~Squeek

PS - Please Fusion. Tell me what you and your little buddies do. I cannot figure out what you can talk about now that this game has been out for almost 6 years. What else is there to this game other than "Guys, we gotta kill those guys. K, let's go." I wanna know, because I've never felt the need to join up some online "buddies" and play a redundant game with them day in and day out.

The rest of the world finishes a game, gets tired of it, and moves on. The CS community decides that all other games suck and that CS is life.

I wondered this, and this is now the third time that I have come across someone respectable who comes to this conclusion.

Glad I appended that in later then.

I was thinking of a working analogy for how I see the CS community.

Billy is your average 20-year old University gruaduate student. But there's something odd about Billy.

Billy fell so in love with the game "Pac-Man" that he never played anything else. Every day was spent trying to improve his technique and get a higher and higher score. He even formed a club of Pac-Man addicts and labeled them his "Clan". Eventually, as time wore on, his club members grew tired of playing the same old game and turned their backs to Pac-Man. Billy thought nothing of it. He still had wonderful times being the leader of this crew of Pac-Man "Pros" and never losing a match of "highscores" to one of his crewmembers.

Billy knew to eat the cherries.

However, Billy has decided that no other game could ever live up to the standards that Pac-Man brought, and shunned himself from ever trying to like another game. A better game. Ms. Pac-Man? Please. Pac-Man World? Why even buy the console for that? While other games were being replaced at the arcade, Billy knew the manager (having spent hundreds of dollars in coins there) and insisted that they keep the Pac-Man machine. However, even with all these new machines coming into the arcade every so often, Billy would just sit in the small corner in the back of the arcade constantly improving his technique in a game nobody cares about anymore. He's the best; and that's all he cares about.

                                Good analogy? Move on.
