Maple Story Preview Session!

The Official MapleGlobal service will finally debut with a special "Preview Session" on May 11th at 1AM GMT (9PM Eastern Standard Time). During this period, only our current beta users of MapleGlobal West will be able to sign-up and participate in various events. MapleGlobal.com will now serve as the homepage of the new service. The beta service will not close but will be moved to beta.mapleglobal.com.

Things to note about the New Official Service:
1. You must create a NEW account. Old accounts will only be accessible on beta.mapleglobal.com.
2. The "preview session" sign-ups will be opened only to users that have beta test accounts AND have not been blocked for misconduct such as hacking or botting.
3. To thank our beta testers for their patience and support, we will be raising experience and drop rates during the preview session to help you get back on track. Also, during the preview session, users will be given a limited edition beta tester item at Lith Harbor by our NPC, Nemi.
4. Strict abuse policy - All hackers will be given permanent suspensions. All botters during the "preview session" will also get permanent bans.
5. For account security, all accounts must be verified with an emailed verification code post sign-up and after any account edits. Users cannot enter the game world without verifying their accounts.
6. Ossyria will be open!!!
7. The Cash Shop is not ready but we are preparing for launch later this summer.

It is important to note that the beta client and official client are two separate files. For those beta testers who still want to play in the beta server, don't worry as it will not be deleted. The beta will remain our test client. However, the beta will not have Ossyria for some time. In the future, the beta will get most updates and patches prior to the official service. Unfortunately, we cannot transfer the current accounts to the official service for multiple reasons and we hope our users will understand. (NOTE: The official client will write over your beta client. To re-install the beta, you must download the zip file on the beta site and install into a different folder than the official client).

For those users who are waiting to enter MapleStory for the first time, thank you so much for your continued patience, interest and support. We are very excited to bring you MapleStory and hope to have you join us very soon during open registrations of MapleGlobal in the month of May. stay tuned for an official launch date!

Here's the breakdown for the people on this site who don't play Maple Story.

1) The beta-testers have been waiting for Ossyria for months.
2) The beta-testers are tired of leveling on the same enemies over and over again.
3) The beta-testers are sick of the people hacking the game.

So, they sought to resolve this. And thus, they opened this. The key points?

1) Ossyria.
2) Increased EXP and drop rates.

Ergh, looks like I'm giving up on PSOBB... sorry Moogy.

B) Bad Squeek. Bad, bad, bad. The only thing Maple Story has on PSO is the ability to jump over your enemies. But that's honestly not enough.

PSOBB will eventually cost money (Nine bucks a month). I'm against that. MS will always be free. I like that.

Ossyria was long-awaited because the enemies there are much stronger than the ones on the first island and because the enemies there drop better stuff.

I still can't get PSOBB to work, so it's not even a contest now.

Yes, Wizet has stated that Maple Story will continue to be free. The only thing you pay for is optional things. This is known as the Cash Shop. You can go there to get new clothes or little useless things. The real reason people go there is for the 2x EXP card, pets, and the AP / SP reset card.

The wand in my inventory was 7 million.

Those whips sell for 2 million each. However, I like the +15 speed they offer too much...

The green hat is level 60 and costs about 1.5 million. The gloves are about 750,000. The boots were quested. The capes are about 450,000 each.

Let's just say I had a bit of money on me.

Do what I did: Get a briefcase, sharp clothes, and start an in-game business. I did a "Save The Noob Archers" fund, where you could donate arrows or money, and if a noob was ever low on either, I could hand them some. It didn't get off the ground very well due to not being on very long, but damn, did I look cool. I looked "MIB" cool.

Well, I've been playing nonstop and I'm at level 35 again. I might get to 40 tonight.

The 2x EXP ends on Tuesday night. It's a shame, because I work all Tuesday. Oh well, gonna have to play all Monday then. I might get to 50 by then.

The Official MapleGlobal service will be open for the public on May 26 at 11AM GMT (7AM Eastern Standard Time). New users will be able to explore the Maple World, embark on adventures, and participate in various events.

We hope our existing beta users have enjoyed the Preview Session. With the opening of MapleGlobal, the Preview Session will come to an end. There will be many more exiting events and additions to the game in the coming future, so don't worry!

PS - the map that all those people are in is where the boss of Victoria Island, the Jr. Balrog, spawns. He comes once every 7 hours and has a high chance of dropping level 70+ equipment. But he's not very easy to kill...

Also, the skill that the GM in that picture is using is Shining Ray. I get that skill at level 70 as a Cleric.

I've been trying to get those friggin earrings for the longest time. There is a 10% chance of getting them from a decently-hard jump quest for level 50 people only.

Also, my Fame is at 25 I believe. It might be more by now. I don't buy / trade it like others do.
