Why doesn't it matter based on one role name that isn't aligned to the role abilities they were looking for?

Yeah, mostly because 1/3rd of game mechanics are not shown, and says a lot about what roles there isn't in this game.

Also I'll go on record saying my waifu is Jill from VA-11 Hall-A but I didn't pick her for this game, even though I really, really wanted to. I was so paranoid it would have been too obvious and easily killable. I just want it to be known I don't love her any less!

2 and 3 here are incorrect. Might be that your role missed the mark, but mine did not. My role confirms it's definitely something that Xiz would do, just maybe not to the nth degree for balancing reasons.

I don't remember literally anyone in the anime because it was so bland & unmemorable to me. Suffice to say, I was really sad when it was suggested to me a ton back in the day. Felt like a chore to watch.
