I don't remember literally anyone in the anime because it was so bland & unmemorable to me. Suffice to say, I was really sad when it was suggested to me a ton back in the day. Felt like a chore to watch.

Still better than anime that are actually painful to watch, and not in the kuzu no honkai way.

Strong in what way?

she's the only pilot that isn't afraid to pilot the giant robo and she also always stands up for herself. she's the most mentally strong non-adult in the show and it's shown in some very important scenes but hard to say without spoiling anything

this is a really interesting take to me, I've never really heard anyone say it was boring/a chore. Lot of people that hate it but mostly because they think it is stupid. The first time I watched it when I was like 14 I thought it was cool but didn't get the HUGE appeal it has until I watched it again as an adult

tbh I generally like the strong types but I hate her. Hot take though having no actual context to the show so maybe I'd sympathize if I actually watched it.

I had to google Rei because I thought they were Asuka, and Asuka was full of herself imo so I didn't like her. Rei felt kind of robotic in nature, so I disliked that too. And don't even get me started about Shinji. So basically, the entire main cast is terrible.
