Re: TWG CIII: Host Signups
Thinking about trying to host one now, haha. Probably not though since I feel inexperienced still.
Wouldn't mind doing 3 orbs again, slightly modified (so there's millers and master), and then go with it. I feel the concept of the 3 orbs was not used at all last game.

Re: TWG CIII: Host Signups
Nightmare in Despair Academy
Players: 16
Mode: Battle Royal w/Manhunt elements
Factions: None
Night Talk: On, in-thread only
Night Start
Role Cardflip: Off (only the confirmation of innocent or murderer would be flipped)
Concept idea: The idea is a bit complex since the idea of "factions" is shallow in the game. The game has 16 players, night start (which is coined "normal day") which is where players send in a kill and the chance of the kill being hit is proportioned to the amount of players that are alive (so basically night 1 has 16 players, so the chance of your kill being chosen is 6.25% and it increases later on in the game per each night phase) each player would have a distinct role (for instance, a gambler would have a 3% chance [or proportional to the amount of dead players] of framing his/her kill on another player). Day phases (which would be coined "abnormal days" would function as a trial. There would be a flip whenever someone is lynched where it says whether or not the player was indeed the killer for night x.
Win Condition: For the players who have killed someone - collectively avoid 5 trials. For everyone else - successfully catch 3/5 murderers.
Roles
Psychic: You are the only player to have the information of the deceased role
Gambler: When your kill is picked, it has a slim chance of framing its kill onto another player.
Politician: Your vote will count as two due to your high charisma.
Hall Monitor: Once every night phase, you have the option to choose which player to block and prevent its actions going through.
Luckster: You have a slightly higher chance of not being killed (approx. half of the chance of a kill being picked, increasing per each night phase)
Vanilla Student (x8): Your vote is your power. No night actions except to kill.
Mastermind: You are the mastermind who has pitted the students against each other and you are amongst the crowd. The only other person to know that you are the mastermind from the start is your twin sibling, the Mercenary.
Mercenary: Once per night phase, you have the option to place two kills in your pm and increase the likelihood of multiple night deaths (3% base for night 1 and increasing each following night). You also know that your twin sibling is the mastermind behind the fiasco.
Day: 4 days
Night: 48 hours
Instalynch required for a lynch
All roles altering the kill possibility will be half of the percentage of the kill being chosen.bananas

Re: TWG CIII: Host Signups
So... if I'm understanding the game right. You win by simply being lucky and or catching 3 people who killed someone?
Is this right?

Not really. The win condition is something that I am patching up, hence the Mastermind role. I might employ some additional use to the Mastermind role and maybe sway the mechanics to Manhunt...bananas

Re: TWG CIII: Host Signups
TWG: An Exercise In Futility
12 Humans
0 Wolves
0 Blues.
The only goal? Survive.
All communication is legal. The goal of the game is to make it to the final pairing of people. Those 2 players will be the sole champions. Lynches proceed as normal in day phase. Make friends, destroy enemies, barter votes; survive.
There are no night phases. Once a lynch occurs (insta is on), the day ends and the next immediately begins.
Days are 24 hours. This is meant to be a fast game.Comment

TWG CIII: Dragon Werewolf Z
I suddenly had this thought when I went and watched an episode or two of the franchise, and because I have fond memories of the anime. So... this is what I propose, dohoho.
Imagine, if you will, every DBZ character suddenly having amnesia and they don't know who their friends are. Yep... using that excuse, DEAL WITH IT!
NOTE THIS IS ME NOT REALLY GIVING A FUCK ON BALANCE, SO IF THERE'S ISSUES, YEAH!!!
12 players (Sketchy right now, but whatever, could be more)
Day Phase Start
Insta: ON
Night Talking: ON
Card Flips: OFF
In-Thread Talk Only: ON
48 hour day phases
24 hour night phases
Game Roles:
Villian
---
These are the players that the heroes need to kill. They know each other upon game start
---
Freiza: After Day 2, player will not be able to be lynched normally. After Day 2, if Frieza is still alive, must either be lynched with Goku voting for Frieza, or you must have 2 consecutive days of lynching Frieza.
Cell: After Day 2, player will not be able to be lynched normally. After Day 2, if Cell is still alive, must either be lynched with Gohan voting for Cell, or you must have 2 consecutive days of lynching Cell.
Majin Boo: Has power to randomly inflict someone a status ailment by random.org. Player will not know who the target is and does not have control of what status ailment that may be.
Status Ailment list
1: Mute (Will cause a player to not speak the entire day, including androids).
2: Block (A player's vote will not count whatsoever).
3: Curse (A player's vote, when voting, will vote for themselves regardless of who the vote is for)
4: Blind (When a player wishes/checks/senses, does not get anything back.)
5: Stop (Player can still talk, but they can't do their role for the entire phase.)
Android
---
These players are neither green or red. Their purpose in this game is they can either help out the red or the green if they want to. Their rolls will be switched either red or green when one of them says in the thread they're working for RED or GREEN.
They may NOT send a kill at night UNLESS they declare they're RED.
They know each other at the start of the game.
---
Android 17: Must respond to Android 18 every day/night phase in the thread in some way or form. If they don't, will be revealed as a GREY upon next phase.
Android 18: Must respond to Android 17 every day/night phase in the thread in some way or form. If they don't, will be revealed as a GREY upon next phase.
Heroes
---
These are the people that need to kill the villains. They don't know each other as they suddenly had a huge case of amnesia.
---
Goku: Is able to lynch Frieza normally if players votes for frieza after Day 2. Can go "Super Sayain" and lynch 2 players, but can only be used ONCE.
Gohan: Is able to lynch Cell normally if players votes for Cell after Day 2. When there's 5 players left, is able to go "Super Sayain" and lynch 2 players each day afterwards.
Vegeta: Can go Super Saiyain causing Player's vote counting 2x the amount because player is so angry all the time.
BLUES can also "sense" someone of their choosing. It will only be BLUE or not blue. The villains + Piccolo will turn out BLUE as well.
BLUES also can only "Super Saiyan" once every 2 days because they need to recharge
Krillin: Can mute a player of his choosing per night, preventing the villain from sending a kill and also prevent an Android from talking. (Does not stop Majin Buu's random status ailment)
Bulma: Is able to pick a player at random per day shift and detect if they are GREY. If nothing, then the pick came out empty.
Kami: Is able to "detect" and discover a players role. If Piccolo dies, Kami dies as well.
Piccolo: Player has ability to resurrect a player, they can only be resurrected once and any player can be resurrected any time during the game. If Kami dies, Piccolo dies as well.Last edited by Charu; 10-27-2013, 07:50 PM.
