      Re: ITT: Solo packs

It's not great. I don't even think so. Way too many freezes.

      Anywho--new chart.

Heavy is generously layered, Oni is a bit more harsh.

        Re: ITT: Solo packs

Updated OP single releases. New additions will now be marked in red for easier reference.

Chimera is more fun, chord bursts in otada's oni are bleh
Why would you put that in your signature? You've lost your signature rights for a month. (You'll get them back on March 10th, 2012.)

Heavy was the serious chart, lol

Oni was just something I threw together to add more layering xD

On another note, anybody interested in stepping fully charted beginner songs (a la XSBP2) please contact me.

Or if anything, I'm willing to step full charts if oni is stepped. Specifics if contacted.

              Re: ITT: Solo packs

basically all my oni charts are layer-everything-I-can-hear-unless-it-makes-16ths-chordjacks and solo is perfect for this kind of tomfoolery

chimera: for your first its good that you experiment with solo's potential. however some patterns (especially when it comes to holds with jacks) dont flow very well and some 16th streams are broken and make it odd to hit. also the transition to melody/jacks can be inconsistent at times and can get rather annoying. it kinda seems like a pump conversion lmao. a good attempt at a file however and i expect you to make more since you already have potential.

                      Re: ITT: Solo packs

stuff that generally flows well goes from one hand to another, avoid consecutive jumps with weird ring patterns (ie: 12 13 12 in fast bpms) and try to substitute long 12 trills with 13 since its physically easier to hit. also streams shouldnt be like 12356 or 5421 since it has weird cuts in the middle and makes it awkward. also when using hands etc stuff like [1246] [5] [1246] makes a weird ring finger kinda trill and makes it harder since you're busy hitting the other arrows

Or add 8th breaks into the jumps if possible as continuous streams can be monotonous

I'd make a solo chart buut...I'm too used to dumpy charts =/

mmk I'll see if I can internalize that kind of thing. once I've made more solo charts I'll be less like 'woah look at all these columns what do I do' and hopefully be able to focus more (or automatically ) on what exactly is being placed

in a way yeah. you dont really need to be technically perfect yet since solo hasn't been dark chancellor'd yet for standards
