    Gauging interest

A few days ago, I was lying in bed waiting for sleep to come like normal, when a thought occurred to me.

Basically, we're all familiar with the HSMPs and how they execute their varying degrees of disrespect for human phalanges, but I believe I have hit upon a new theme for a "hard song" pack...

Mines. Lots of them. This pack won't require vibration or employ any fancy bpm tricks. Instead, the files in this pack will hopefully screw with your mind and stretch your reading ability to the limit.

This pack is going to be pretty much all memorization because of the minefields of stepfiles I have in my mind for this pack. Requirements for individual files haven't been finalized yet, but a couple things I seem to have settled on include the presence of a 10+ foot Heavy file without mines, and an oni with at least 20 mines (2x the number of feet of the Heavy might be a good baseline).

Sadly, the technical aspects of crafting stepfiles or GFX are not yet impressed on me, and I can't judge because these files are meant for people who possess skills far beyond my own.

    Anyone?

Mines are only really good in small doses.

Unless they're used as fake-outs in which case they're sexy as hell.

There are the occasional fake-outs that are nice, but I was going more towards mindf*ck.

So far, early responses indicate this isn't a very good idea.

Only the more elite players value mine usage in simfiles. I find cetaka's Dream to Nightmare Oni to be an extremely fun file, while most people would say ya dat file's retarded mine abuse.
So not many people would support this.

                  Old file is old.

Also--mines aren't really good for KB charts, unless you know how to properly do them, and not many people know how to work negative BPMs/stops, etc.

Mines are fine, but when you said memorization I sort of frowned inside. I don't want to have to memorize; I want to be able to actually apply some skill. Sightreading is a good thing.

Maybe you should release a sample of something you had in mind first.

Think Legendary N8's MMPR oni mines, only more so. I can never even make it to the second verse... >_<

After further review, I have come to the conclusion that there's a good reason nobody's put this forth before:

Because this idea sucks like a tornado.

I never should have posted the idea of an entire pack of songs that are too technically advanced for most people to create, let alone make ones with replay value.

Lock please. I don't want to do this anymore, and apparently neither do you guys.
