probably rejected because it was super technical, but wasn't fun

        it's actually quite the opposite

it's not technical at all, and it's pretty fun to play

              edit:

okay so i watched some of your stepmania videos and that doesnt seem to be the source of the problem

but still, id really like to know why you think it's a dump. i put quite a bit of work into that chart, making it pitch relevant as well as combining patterns and choosing which instruments to step. i will agree it's quite possible the song didnt garner a good stepchart, but your reaction to it was definitely not rationalized and i would like to you seriously consider your opinion again

              thanks

anyways though, i can tell you've put effort into it and stuff, but it's just not good. when I mean it's a dump I mean there's a lot of conflicting things that keep it from being :high quality professional made shiny stepfile:

The hold usage basically ruined most of it for me. There was an overuse of holds that ruined the feel of the file. Often, you had 2 holds going to one sound or two sounds that blended together or something (couldn't tell which one it was). There's another thing that I don't want to explain too much because that's going to wind up as a tl;dr essay from me, but you had two holds for two hands with 16ths along with them too; it's annoying to play. In addition, the holds are to certain things and the 16ths are to something different. IMO splits between hands should be used in those situations (though let's not use two holds like that at the same time unless its 100% unavoidable)

It eventually got repetitive; same things over and over again that really made me want to quit out.

ps in case you didnt know which it seems like everybody doesnt know im always being as rude as possible when it comes to critiquing moreover for motivation to a "prove you wrong" type thing

                      alright thanks

and yes you're right i did post back in an angsty manner however i quickly corrected myself so

i still dont think it's a dump, honestly. i now know why you didnt enjoy it, and that's cool with me just be more accurate with what you say (regarding the first post). opinions are subjective and i should have kept that in mind but dont try to be objective about it either

edit: i cant seem to put thoughts out in a straight manner

i just mean i know why you didnt enjoy it now and to be more rational in the first place rather than saying something like you did

i only replied angsty because i felt like you didnt even put any thought into your response, that you equated the chart to be garbage because of biased irrational reasons

aaanyways try out the heavy chart and let me know what you think of that. i know it's not the new style of stepcharts (using hands and holds in a more accurate way), but try it out and let me know what you thought of it. i want to see if it makes a difference

ALSO please let me submit a few more that will not be at all like my sweet forever and more like the stuff i always make. since my sweet forever after all was a fairly left-field stepchart with the way i made it. i will submit some regular stuff instead

more like 400 because that's how many the chart has

                          lol yes i know

im not going to re-do my sweet forever because i made it the way i intended to make it, and im not changing it because that's a lot of work i dont feel like doing. it has steps that i think are decent, they're fun for me and that's all i care about

                              read my other post

i put in a heavy difficulty

it has two charts, and if you dont like the challenge you'll at the very least enjoy the heavy

heavy is not hold-heavy at all, in fact i made it a point not to use holds in that chart. there's like, 26 holds or something? has 733 steps i think.. and heavy has around 800 so they're not too far off from eachother in terms of steppage

the hold usage is what i found the most interesting in the file. otherwise it would've been boring generic 8th beats constantly. but we're all subject to our own opinions
