    Keyboard Ultimix Released!

Well, after 5 months of work I'm happy to present to you Keyboard Ultimix! It was a long road, during the middle of the project I almost thought we would have to drop this, but interest picked up. It still wasn't as much as I wanted, but I'm pleased with this final product. I thank every person who submitted to this, and anyone who made graphics for the files.

Important: This is not an elitist pack. I am not an elitist, nor do I have a desire to be one. I'm just a guy who has a lot of free time. Therefore, do not go downloading this pack with really high expectations. This is not ODI. Now, I'm not saying this pack is crap! Many many people will enjoy this, I guarantee. In fact, there are some pretty good files in here that elites might even enjoy. This was more a friendly pack to give everyone an opportunity. If you're not that great of a player, or want a pack with simpler, enjoyable sims with good graphics then this is your pack. There are some harder, technical files in here too though, so there's pretty much some of everything!

Now, I could go on a rant, but I think you want to download this, so w/e.

    Here's the songlist:

Lastly, if you're just going to be negative dicks, keep it to yourself, and don't post in here. Nobody wants to hear it. If you read the paragraph at the top you'll have no reason to. We'll gladly take constructive criticism, in fact, we'd love to get feedback on our work. I'd just prefer to keep this thread from becoming like the CRP thread -_-

    Thanks,

    Enjoy.

this also. but constructive can mean pointing out bad things in files. doesn't need to be like "rofl ya file suck ya dad" etc.

"That just will not do." was keywii's response as she lunged for the scissors, pulled the blades apart, and clamped them down on the base of foil's shaft. Blood start gushing out of the wound where his penis used to be.
        "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.

                Re: Keyboard Ultimix Released!

Before I start, let me just say that my numerical grading system is really strict, so don't be depressed if you don't get 9 or 10 out of 10. From me, even a 6 or 7 is great. Also since this isn't an "elitist" pack I'm not going to be too strict or evil. hehe

Okay I'm sorry these reviews aren't exactly balanced but I'm not going through 50 of them to rebalance them

EDIT: Just so that no one asks me what each number means, I'll give a general breakdown.
0-2 The file is a disgrace to mankind. You'd have to really f*ck up to get this.
2.5-3.5 The file is kinda dumpy.
4-5.5 File is decent, nothing special.
6-7.5 File is cool, maybe play again.
8-8.5 File is awesome, will play again.
9-9.5 Amazing file, one of the best I've ever played.
                10 Goddamn mindblowing.

5.1.1. (Hyper Euro Prozac Mix) (Kairon) - Eh, decent. The short freezes were really weird though. 3.5/10

6 (eastsideman09) - Pretty generic, but I guess it's not horrible. Faster part in the Challenge could use more hands. 3.5/10

Analogyst (stargroup) - Very cool, but a bit easy. My file/10

Aurora (Kommisar) - Nice steps. Can't see how to make a better chart for this song. 5.5/10

BBLLAASSTT!! (SulferDragon) - I saw Pop'n Music and got excited, but was a bit disappointed in the music. Steps were pretty cool, and the bpm tricks and mines make even more so. 5.5/10

Chaos (~Zero~) - Some patterns could be better, but the bpm tricks make up for that. 5.5/10

Children's Sketchbook (jimerax) - What the hell is that bg. Anyways, some weird stuff but generally very cool. 7.5/10

Dark Demon's Song - (Kairon) - Okay, dude, you need to remove unnecessary bpm markings. File was decent, but a lot of minor stuff was annoying, especially freeze usage. 4.5/10

DarkMoon Rave (Ramengan) - Repetitive. I dunno, it just didn't click for me. 3/10

Donkey Punch (~Zero~) - Beginning and ending are cool, rest of the file is meh. 4/10

Drop (Kommisar) - Well crafted, I only remember one place that didn't flow. The rest is pretty good. 5/10

Dry Martini (SulferDragon) - Aside from the minor errors this is really fun. Nice job. 7/10

Ergonomic (Kommisar) - Quit out. I guess it's okay, but I don't see anything too fun. 4.5/10

Fall (moches + SulferDragon) - The only thing that REALLY pissed me off were the tons of pitch relevance errors that made it feel awkward. 5/10

Field of Dreams (Vocals Mix) (stargroup) - This is a REALLY old file of mine. I guess it's good, but the music makes me never want to play it. I don't even remember why I stepped it, but I believe it was a request. My file/10

Fireworks (SulferDragon) - YOU DIDN'T STEP PAST THE MODULATION D: Not the best Oster file, decent but boring. 4.5/10

Go Beyond!! (Detach) - I'm sorry, I just can't rate this file. I've already played an awesome chart, so my review will be biased no matter what. N/A

Heart of the Rainbow (SulferDragon) - Quit out. Again, decent. 4.5/10

Horobita Star (Kommisar) - Beginning of Edit is cool. Soon quit out when it got easy. Sorry, I can't seem to give a rating for this one. N/A

In The Ruins (~Zero~) - Consistency issues. Despite a few errors and the generic vocal following, it's sorta fun. Hard parts are cool though. This chart is begging for hands and quads. 5.5/10

Insaner (L.E.D.'s Punishment Mix) (Wyde) - Nothing special. Freezes are TOO long. I don't mind if they're 24ths or even 16ths, but 8th freezes is pushing it. 3/10

Junkman Stage (SulferDragon) - Kinda fun, but some parts are annoying. 5/10

Konamized v2!!!! (Kommisar) - MINIFREEZES!! Cool file. 6/10

Last Boss Battle Theme #2 (SulferDragon) - MORE MINIFREEZES!! Edit is fun. 6/10

                Level 1-1 (Kairon) - ...okay, I think I like this? N/A

Mad Mechanism (~Zero~) - Pretty fun except for awkward patterns. Like most of the other files, more pitch relevancy would've been better. -_- 6/10

Monolith ~Rennaissance~ (eastsideman09) - Well, I don't blame you for the slightly generic steps considering the song choice. Sometimes mine usage was good, other times it just sucked (quad mines?). Also, more pitch relevancy would've been more fun. Otherwise, it was relatively enjoyable. 6/10

Moonlight (Kommisar) - Last freeze was too long. ;P Jacks made the file fun. Except for freeze usage, not bad at all. 6/10

Parade of the Wooden Soldiers (stargroup) - The gfx suck. It's all dark and gloomy while the song is supposed to be about children and toys. Not a bad file, but nothing special. I made it quickly anyways. My file/10

Procrastination on a Paper (moches) - Consistency and jump placement issues. Focus on following the music before trying to make the patterns you want fit. 5/10

Pump me Amadeus (eastsideman09) - One of your better files. You actually have an idea of where you want your melody to go in this one. Still, nothing amazing. 5/10

Rapid Stream (Kommisar) - Really sweet. One of your best. 7/10

Return to the Road We Came (SulferDragon) - Quit out. Pretty dumpy and lack of pitch relevancy. Not all too fun. 3.5/10

Revontulet (SulferDragon) - Again, can't review this because it'll be biased. N/A

Rocket Flight (Kommisar) - Fun. the layering is pretty unique. 6/10

Rottel-da-Station (Corbinek) - Not bad at all, you have potential. File had some minor errors, but it was really fun. 6/10

                Sepia (behanjc) - Fun. 6.5/10

Set the World on Fire (SulferDragon) - Wow. This really surprised me. 7/10

Something Terrible (~Zero~) - Not bad. Jacks are fun but make difficulty inconsistent. 4.5/10

Starwolf (SulferDragon + Kommisar) - Inconsistent freeze use and minifreeze abuse. 4/10

STOP! & Go (Professor Raine) - Some consistency issues. Some bpm trick are ver glitchcraft. Otherwise, it's okay. 5/10

Swallowing an Avalanche (~Zero~) - Patterns are dumb and repetitive. Quit out really early. 3/10

Titan (The Superjail Mix) (~Zero~) - Again, quit out. It just wasn't very interesting. 3/10

Title Screen (DAshoe) - You weren't even consistent in your own layering. Not horrible I guess. 4/10

Toy Stage (DAshoe) - Pretty fun, despite suffering from copy/mirror syndrome. 5.5/10

True Love (eastsideman09) - Freeze problems as usual. Most of the mines were used quite effectively in this one. 5.5/10

U Inside My Dim Memory (Kommisar) - Yow. Minifreezes. The mines near the beginning were really evil. 4/10

Un Deux Trois (Kommisar) - A bit inconsistent and not all that great. Only reason I'm giving it a higher score is because you used a lot of triples and stuff. 5.5/10

Wizard Stage (DAshoe) - Pretty dumb. I remember one measure of streams being really fun but otherwise everything else sucked. 3.5/10

{Losing Touch} (stargroup) - REALLY old, dumpy, horrible file I made by request. Never released until now. My file/10

Okay, so far, I've found that most files that are sub-par are that way because of:
                - Freeze usage
                - Song choice
                - Pitch relevancy

Best files in this pack are (not including ones I haven't played of course):
                - Children's Sketchbook
                - Analogyst
                - Dry Martini
                - Set the World on Fire (too long, otherwise cool)

                    Think... a 9/10 is an A, 8/10 is a B and a 6/10 is a D. anything worse than a 6 is an F (thanks to high School :3)
