because most good players view it as boring because there's nothing to the file, and it's like playing a pad chart or w/e you wanna call it

newer players i guess who arent that great at sm find it fun because it's more challenging

some people dont like colored notes that dont flow well in songs (me) and prefer a more simple style (me and torrent) then some would rather more technical stuff and a more sophisticated structure of a simfile (most people in the odi2 pack)


its all about preference.

I could care less if a simfile is riddled with rainbow notes and hands. I grade strictly on the basis of fun, and my own idea of quality. So far most of these could have been passed as pad files and I wouldn't have noticed. Don't blame me for thinking that analogyst is better suited for being the background music of an elevator sex scene in some bad 80's porno movie.

Rapid Stream - Kommisar
pretty cool file. Was really fun and flowed well in some parts, but got kinda repetitive as it went along.

Sepia - behanjc?
Almost passes as a good file. If it weren't for the retarded minifreeze stream sections, some missing jumps, and the poorly flowing jumpstream section in the middle of the stepchart, it would have been fairly close to how I would have made it. I'd rather play Reach's though, or even Linus' honestly. =/

That was pretty amusing. At first I hated the mine gimmick but as the file went on I realized it was actually pretty fun and cool. With some minor tweaking I'll probably keep this file and play it every now and then. Probably the file I'll play the most from this pack so far.

At this point I'd like to throw in how much I absolutely agree with necros- The graphics on most of these files are TERRIBLE. The text, backgrounds, etc...It's all just bad. If they would even fit with the song, I wouldn't mind as much but Sepia's graphics are green? Oookay, moving along.

Darkmoon Rave - Generic as **** techno song. Generally repetitive, but at least it's not the very same pattern over and over. Bad text in graphics, lol. 4.5/10

lol, you recommended Zero Bass to me when this pack started, didn't you? Ah, well. I'm gonna work more on pad files instead of doing keyboard, but maybe I'll try again later. I think the reviews on mine had been pretty lenient; I was expecting a 2 or 1 instead.

Do I Really Have To Play This. Tried the oni first, felt really bad and awkward, this is one of those weird cases where trying to be technical and accurate will actually make a bad file. The heavy was pretty fun even though there were some strange oddities here and there.

OMG Tsuka gave me a 6.5/10. I was like expecting around a 5, but this is nice.
