Re: Nintendo EvolutioNPack
If you'll look carefully, it's listed as "Final Fantasy Chronicles"
Not Chrono Trigger for the PS.
If you ask someone about Chrono Trigger, they're more than likely to say, Ohh! That SNES game ruled.
Don't prod at my post but you see where I'm getting at?
PM me if you find the secret.

Re: Nintendo EvolutioNPack
yeah true. I still need to play CT. I can't believe I never played it, lol.
I think someone is stepping the ost ending theme to Metal Gear Solid NES.Comment

Re: Nintendo EvolutioNPack
i'm going to judge everything sent that hasn't been judged excluding my own files right nao
(Stargroup) Big Blue - Color syndrome, has alot of 32nds that shouldn't be there. for a better idea to how to step it correctly, go see duk amok's ssh version. [Rejected]
(Prof. Raine) Blue Resort - Love the song+game; however, the steps don't make up for it. The trills weren't stepped correctly according to the sounds in the game and you stopped following the 16th runs at the beginning that you should've kept following. Otherwise just felt like freeze abuse. [rejected]
(sticklydude) Champion Battle - Ok. First of all, you didn't follow the main part AT ALL which killed the file and you put beautiful off-sync jumps right in the middle. See danceguy's version in the vgmp for an idea of what the steps should be for that song. [rejected]
(Intensez) Fall Down to the Scream - Putting streams to replace everything won't make your file better. You missed plenty of jumps in there and didn't step anything else. I guess the streams looked more apealing to you. The jumps you did put had nothing to do with what you were following. [rejected]
(Mixmasterlar) Fairy Fountain - Could've stepped the beginning and add jumps where the main theme starts instead of mini-freezes which are pretty pointless. After the chorus starts again you added 16th notes which had absolutely nothing to do with the melody. Could've used better pitch revelancy also. [Rejected]
(Prof. Raine) Planet Colors - I have no idea what you were following at the start of the song but it didn't really make any sense. Got better afterwards, but just missed a bunch of stuff in general. Most triples/jumps were useless and many sounds weren't stepped accordingly. Has potential to be an awesome file. [rejected]
(Mixmasterlar) Rachel's Theme - The start was already stepped wrong, and you put 16ths where they didn't belong yet again. The melodies you tried to follow weren't stepped right; you added too many arrows or started too early etc. Try using assist tick in the editor to get a better idea. [rejected]
(Moches) Schala's Theme - I don't hear any jumps at the start. You should've followed the drums after the first movement of the song to make things more interesting rather than put freezes with mini-jacks. Next part was better since you actually added jumps accordingly but still lacked percussions. Just work on these things this file was probably one of the best out of the batch. [rejected]
(Dashoe) Title Theme - Missed a few sounds in the background and the mini-jacks weren't really necessary. But congratulations, this is the first and only file from every submission i played that deserved to be in this pack. [accepted]
I'm being honest with you guys. Some of you should just re-do your files and submit them again because your song choices aren't the problem; it's the steps themselves.Last edited by kommisar[os]; 11-17-2007, 08:16 PM.Comment

Re: Nintendo EvolutioNPack
There was nothing wrong with dashoe's steps, the song was just plain boring though that is why I rejected too. I'll check stargroup's file again. I agree with Kommisar about mouhes's file, you should follow the drums more.Comment

Re: Nintendo EvolutioNPack
Were also making a better bg too for your file.Originally posted by stargroup100lol Since when did Kommisar become a judge? I thought this was going to be an average pack so I made a quick sh*tty file. Now that he's judging I'm going to have to do some tweaking.
I just updated the first post. I just relized, if we don't take judging exstreamly serious, people might just send in s h i t y files like stargroup did. -.- Anyways, I'm sending in the four that were accepted to the pack into the e-mail so everyone could judge them except Big Blue. Already has problems and hopefully stargroup will fix them up.
All judges post up your review on the three simfiles that I'd just sent to you all:
StarFox Godspeed Remix-ShadowDragon!
Zelda Theme Donkey Konga-leadafro

Re: Nintendo EvolutioNPack
Sure was....Also in the Big Blue file Almost ALL of the 12ths you used were wrong.Too bad I just recently played it for real. The first time you play it, its hard to notice the obvious errors.Originally posted by stargroup100lol Since when did Kommisar become a judge? Also I judged My file and found some more minor errors.I corrected these last night on legend of zelda theme-Donkey Konga - the hottest hitsLast edited by leadafro; 11-19-2007, 06:08 AM.I'm black yall I'm black yall I'm blickity black black and I'm back.Comment

Re: Nintendo EvolutioNPack
maybe i shouldn't judge for this cuz considering the amount of good files that come in this pack won't be progressing very fast lol.Comment

Re: Nintendo EvolutioNPack
Thats what I said....Almost all of them because there are not that many to begin with.Originally posted by stargroup100Uh, no. I double-checked the rhythms, only some of the 12ths are wrong, and those are more of splashed rhythms than structured rhythms.
And Kommisar just be a partial judge then.We don't really need another full time one.Last edited by leadafro; 11-19-2007, 09:03 AM.I'm black yall I'm black yall I'm blickity black black and I'm back.Comment
