I'm just taking a stab in the dark here, but I think qqwref avoided linking to downloads because he doesn't want the possibility of legal trouble down the road.

Hey it's pretty neat idea! What format you used to enter the database because I already have C# program that can scan through 1 pack and obtain...
- song name translated
- subtitle translated
- song artist translated
- banner image file and filename. Can be automatically scaled and output to smaller files if you want.
- step charter (Regex'ed from song folder name with specified delimiter like '(' and ')' )
- Difficulties (I've disabled Edit diff ATM)
- Every features above worked with .sm and .dwi

I can tweaked this a bit and have a version that can scan through multiple packs and batch get the information for you if you can give me the formats you wanted. :P

Yeah, I saw your program - it's a really cool idea, but unfortunately I couldn't get it to work when I tried

I've been using a form, but here's basically the format I'd be looking for:
('title', 'subtitle', 'songartist', 'stepartist', '', 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0)
I'm not doing banner links yet, but it might happen much later. The last six numbers there are for beginner, light, medium, heavy, challenge, and edit difficulty, and should be a 1 instead of a 0 if that difficulty exists (I'm not tracking the number of feet). It would be great if you could get this info!

Also, for packs that have more than one type (for instance, pad singles and pad doubles) I was thinking of treating them as two separate packs of one type each. Can your program be expanded to do this?

Couldn't you just remove the .mp3 files?

Sooo... you're suggesting people download the .sm and image files from our site, and then somehow go and find the correctly cut/synced mp3 from somewhere else? This seems less than useful.

The program will try to extract step charter name from the folder using wrapper like (). (must be 2 characters) Mostly you'll want to enable 'Search from the back' if the step charter came last but in some pack you'll have to disable this otherwise you'll get "Beat Juggle" as step charter from "(Patashu vs. Kommisar) Groundhog (Beat Juggle)". The algorithm can't extract complex shit like "Black & White_Short (Golgo13(Sensationer))" for some computational reason so you must enter the name yourself.
Also you can disable the search for step charter name and use something else for all the songs in case the pack is done by individual and there is no step charter name on the folder.

And there are no batch mode because you must separately specify the step charter wrapper for each pack. You have to done one by one sry

I'm disable the ability to grab the banner and difficulty rating at the moment. Tell me if you want that back...
Also please report any bugs you found.

Wow! Awesome! I just have a few things I would like changed, which I also told to SasHiii:
- If there is a ' in the song title, subtitle, author, or stepauthor, this needs to be replaced with \'. But I can fix this by hand.
- Sometimes songs show up with no difficulties at all. If this is a bug, please try to figure out how to fix it; if these songs actually have no singles charts (for instance) then they should not be listed.
- In some of the text he pasted the Japanese characters just showed up as ?s. You should still use the transliteration if there is one, but if you do find a Japanese character, it should be saved properly.

The song that doesn't show up has 'Heavy' instead of 'Hard'. I've got that fixed.
The ' is replaced by \' now.
But the unicode problem wasn't solved yet can you give me a example file to test this? (But I'll probably be busy for a while)
