I dont even...
first there is no download for smo lol.
second most versions after sm 3.95 can connect to smo.
including 3.95, 4 cvs, 4 alpha, 4 beta, 5 and some other versions.
sm5 is the newest stepmania version out there tough, why do so many people try to stick to 3.95, its outdated, unstable, and above all for smo players it gives random (YOU HAVE CHEATED) errors in most smo servers, the noteskin support for it is bugged like there is the well known showing arrow flashes instead of circles is one example, the theme support for it is bugged, like you get random crashes with some themes even if its the theme is done right, I just don't get it why people keep using it, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

every noteskin/theme i tried worked perfectly. also it has the best themes and every noteskin that matters working.

well about THIS one matter, mr. Jousway can fix it by porting 3.9/3.95/4.0 noteskins for SSC, like the Midare++ noteskin he made for SSC as a request of mine


but still, 3.95 is the best build so far, can't get visually used to SSC, sadly

SM4 is nice, it's just CPU and RAM hungry. I'm sticking with 3.9/3.95.

I used to use 3.95/OITG for a few years, but I moved to SSC/SM5 when I saw the autosetstyle option.
(which is the best thing IMO if you play both singles and solo frequently)

the timings took me a while to get used to it though.

It took me a while to move on from 3.9/3.95, but sm-ssc has changed the way you should view stepmania
