It sounds like the reviews are when people play the file and say which ones try liked best, then later on Leonid reveals who created each file. This makes it completely unbiased. Maybe find some unknown talent

Pretty sure every file gets in.

Leonid will know who stepped for this, which excludes anyone on his bad side. So it's almost as fair as a regular pack... Almost.

Loving this idea. Sort of a "survival of the fittest" thing. The song we're looking for should be under 3 minutes, but it should also have a little bit of everything. Contrast songs like Delirium or Holy Orders, where each specimen has the same placements for jumps, streams, holds, etc. but different patterns. You know, for example, that when you get to the long 24th solo in Holy Orders, you know a 24th stream is coming your way.

Totally in on this, but +1 to what Emu said. BPM and offset is the hardest part of making a good file.

This actually sounds like a cool idea. I would step if the song was relatively short, even though I don't have a ton of experience. It would be fun seeing who stepped which file.

Yes. Though as an index player and self acclaimed index stepper (yes, self acclaimed, I think I've reached the point where my index files are good, excluding the one for that thread about general appeal) I think the song itself has to be one that could be stepped for index, spread, dump, or pad. In my perspective, single BPM song is the only way to go.

You won't get a single song genre everyone will agree on, let alone a single song. But because electronica is the most stepped, I'd suggest finding something in that area. The rhythms and beats to pokemon medley you stepped is a perfect example.

I'm in for index, let me know when the song is chosen.

It actually would defeat the purpose imo. Once people start deciding songs, this thread will go on forever. To get this done and get it done quickly, leonid will be choosing the song and be the sole director. Removes influenced decisions. Oni-Paranoia mentioned something about leonid's bad side which I think is a bit rude. Why the hell would leonid go out of his way to come up with an idea, choose a song carefully and offer this to everyone just to screw them over with bias? I don't mean to be so blunt, but rather than rebel in that way just conduct your own single song pack. I kinda find it extreme that after lyricalnick's serious thread, and everyone coming together to discuss this, that leonid would go this far and say "lol, I don't like you, bad file." I'm not sure if you even know leonid personally, I'm sure I don't. But I have faith in this being an unbiased experiment.

Also, dude. People in the community piss me off all the time. Can't you see he's purposely pissing you off? The more you argue, the more he's going to post intentional garbage. It's basically (ugh, shoot me for bringing this up) the same thing Yaboy would do to KBO. The more you feed the troll (posts), the more active he/she becomes.
