Yeah, so in the edit song mode on stepmania, for some reason, now it's not color coded, why is that? It's all rainbow, how to I go back to red/blue/yellow/etc.

What version are you using? 3.9a? If so, the default noteskin isn't Note. So you'll have to find it and download it then set it as the default noteskin for your user profile.Comment

For dynamic bpm yes. But if you're just stepping static bpm songs then you're fine using the SM editor.Comment

All rainbow? I don't understand what the problem. What is sounds like is you offset your file by some amount. But can you show an SS?

problem fixed. I just realized that when I transfered SM to my new computer, I forgot to transfer the note noteskin to the file (I play with metal), though I didn't think it was required to see the colors in the editor *shrugs*. If you don't need the noteskin to see the colors in the editor (which I recall you don't) somethings wrong and I'll Screenshot the problemIt's getting better all the time

This. Also, the only time I have to use SM editor is when ddream can't open my file. Like that 700 MB song I tried to step. F-F-Fail ddream, haha. Kinda had to stop stepping it though, the BPM changes were horrible to set in SM Edtior, so I agree with the use of ddream for dynamic BPM.
I also like using my mouse on a program, it makes the stepping go by a lot quicker.Comment
